The Gulag

We cut to Ruby Smith. She finds herself deep in the jungles, searching for a way out. She then spots a familiar face. Her friend, Realist 1. She approaches her, only for her to be swallowed up by a giant Venus Fly Trap. She screams, and then wakes up from her nightmare.

Ruby Smith: gasps and whimpers Oh goodness. Just a nightmare. A mere dream. It's all right...

She sighs and rises, walking out of her bed. She begins to look around her room and notices the various trophies and awards from the Pivot Parade and her battles against the other Realists of that time. Upon looking at her reflection in the mirror, she sighs and speaks.

Ruby Smith: You weren't good enough... You never will be...

Ruby Smith leaves her cottage and patrols around the village for a while. This is the village she stayed at during the Pivot Parade, and she has vowed to protect it ever since she won the Pivot Parade.

She walks around the village, patrolling it, like she normally does. She was determined to bring peace to this place as much as she could. After she had walked around and made sure everything was quiet and calm, she sat on a bench and pulled out a sketchbook she carries wherever she goes. She was very proficient in drawing, and she often sketched scenes that she saw to relax.

The Pivot Parade was hard for Ruby, especially since she was the sole winner of it. Despite it's fun sounding name, it was nothing more than an Omniversal sized battle royale of death and destruction. She wasn't even given a name for herself, just a number in the contest, Realist 27. She fought for that name. She killed, traveled, watched her friends die, fell as an angel and never fully gaining her angelic nature back, all for-

???: Whacha doing?

She looked up and sighed, seeing that it was some villager she didn't recognize. She smiled politely and spoke.

Ruby Smith: Just drawing. You must be new to this village, correct?

???: Yeah! Name's Citra. Nice to meet you. Drawings look nice.

She smiled and set down her sketchbook.

Ruby Smith: It's a pleasure to meet you. My name's Ruby Smith. And I don't think you are just any villager. I can sense you have an aura about you that is neither wholly unholy nor wholly holy. Just like me.

Citra: Well I mean, everyone has a bit of good and bad in them. Not everyone can wield both at the same time though. Some other guys told me about that fact about you.

She chuckled.

Ruby Smith: I suppose that's true. But the amount of good and evil in someone tends to differ from person to person.

Her eyes narrowed as she asked her next question, her curiosity getting the best of her.

Ruby Smith: By the way... Who were the ones that told you?

Citra: Ummm...I didn't really catch their names...I think...Scute and Chows was their names?

Her eyes widened. She knew who those people were, and immediately her demeanor changed. A dark glare took over her eyes, yet she said nothing, simply staring with a look of disappointment. She let the silence go on a little longer before speaking.

Ruby Smith: You have met Chows and Scute. Hm. That explains... quite a lot.

Citra: What's wrong with- wait what's that?
