Episode 62: Robot Rumble

After days of travel, the tower that C4rry had been going to with Kiki was just in reach. She could almost feel it, she was sure of it. All they had to do now was go through this canyon.

Kiki: <I still don't understand. Why are we going to the tower?>

C4rry: Simple: The bigger the structure, the more likely there will be someone there to help us!

Kiki: giggles <I mean, maybe. But, for all we know, it could also be where more of those captors are.>

C4rry: Now that you mention it...sh#t. It does look like something they would make...that crate that you were in... their overall design...I think we've been heading towards our potential capture!

Kiki: <Wait, really? I mean, I was just joking about that. You actually think so?>

C4rry: Absolutely, and I'd rather take my chances in the places I know.

As C4rry says that a rocket wizzes past both of them and barely misses them. Both C4rry and Kiki turn around to see what shot at them, only to find a giant one-eyed robot which is all but familiar to C4rry. 

C4rry: Sh#t! I thought that I left him behind nine episodes ago!

Kiki: <Nine what ago?>

C4rry: Sh#t! Nothing! Random lingo! In a panic! We need to run!

C4rry takes off down the gorge, away from the robot, while leading Kiki by the hand. The robot continues to fire missiles at the two of them as they attempt to make their escape. Eventually, becoming out of range again, the robot jumps down into the chasm and begins pursuit by foot.

Kiki: <What is that thing?! Why is it following you?! Can't you just shoot it?!>

C4rry: Long story short: It's a giant robot that wants to kill me for some reason, and as much as I want to shoot it, it won't stop it!

As they run, Kiki and C4rry come across a herd of giant bugs, rhinoceros beetles to be exact (And about the size as one as well, if not bigger) which gives C4rry an idea as the robot closes the gap.

Kiki: <It's almost here! What will we do?!>

C4rry: Don't worry! I got a plan! Hold on tight to me!

Kiki, confused but obedient, grabs onto C4rry as she shoots a grappling hook into one of the giant beetles. The metal sinking into the carapace is enough to startle the beetle, which begins to charge down the chasm, away from the robot, dragging C4rry and Kiki along with it. Kiki is screaming from fright at this point, as they are being carried at around the same speed as a rollercoaster. C4rry doesn't seem to mind this at all. In fact, she seems excited by the thrill of the ride, as she retracts the grappling hook, bringing them on top of the beetle.

C4rry: This is awesome!!! We're going so fast! It's awesome, right?

Kiki remains speechless as she tries to collect herself.

C4rry: Hey, chillax. This thing is going faster that the robot. We left it in the dust!

As C4rry says this, they all begin to hear thumps behind them, and see that the robot is now running to catch up to them.

C4rry: I need to keep my mouth shut.

Kiki: <What do we do?! It's gaining on us!>
