We cut to a destroyed and abandoned factory in Detroit, the ruins of which were for the last few months the main hideout for the Ascensionists. The three of them, since what they were attempting to accomplish has failed, are quickly attempting to pack up and vacate the area.

Nicole: You know, I really hate when things don't go our way. Now we have to give these guys the good old slip again. It would be very useful right now to know that there are some versions of me out there in DDICU 25 that could be used as bait right now. And yes Lasting, I am talking directly to you! Suddenly, a Mr. Puzzles copy appears to the three Ascensionists, in great distress.

Mr. Puzzles: Listen! You got to help me! I'm the last copy made, and I don't want to die yet! Maybe I could quickly try to move the original Puzzle Machine that the main one was hooked up to and-

Nicole: No, we're done with this. We only helped you because MV.P told us to do so. We're in as much debt to her as you are. We're bailing before the League gets here. So be my guest and go down there yourself, cause trust me-

At that very moment, several dozen blue samurai teleport at the entrance of the factory, blocking off any potential exits the Ascensionists could have. Leading this squad is a woman who looks like Natsuki, but with void black eyes and glowing green pupils.

rhc.ikustaN: I, rhc.IkustaN, take great pleasure in saying that you four are under arrest by the order of the League of Guardians for conspiracy, attempted omnicide, and the combined destruction of over half a dozen worlds.

Mr. Puzzles quickly runs into the building, and two samurai drones engage and pursue him.

Nicole: Well guess what you Niki rip-off, your happiness is about to leave your face. Lucy! Get us out of here!

Lucy doesn't do anything. Instead, alongside Alex Rose, she puts her hands in the air.

Nicole: Ahem Lucy. This is the part where you teleport us away from danger and make them lose our scent.

Lucy: Nicole, I am sorry. Working for MV.P because we have to is one thing, but I draw the line at genocide.

Nicole: You son of a-

Before Nicole can finish her sentence, she is immediately entangled in glowing green cables, trapped and unable to move as ikustaN approaches them.

Meanwhile, Mr. Puzzles has run into the room where the Puzzle Machine should be kept and bolts the door behind him, leaning against it to prevent the drones from coming in if they find him.

Mr. Puzzles: No no no! This isn't supposed to be how it ends! I was promised by her that I would get five stars. She-

Mr. Puzzles suddenly realizes that he is not alone in the room. He sees that the room is currently inhabited not by just one, not just by two, but all five of the Resurgents that he mind controlled, including Jezebel, who he used as a conduit for mind controlling everyone else in the room, smashing the original Puzzle Machine to pieces before realizing that the one who caused them all their trouble is right in the room with them.
