Episode 65: SKE Sactium

It has been a few days since Hyperion, Quinn, and Helen made their home within the settlement of the SKE shelter that was built after the weird crash and marooning. So far, everything is going generally well for the three of them. They all are fitting well within the society, and each of them have a role within the settlement built in a riverbed diverted by a bunch of rocks a while before they arrived.

Hyperion sits down near a rock wall, taking a breather and eating a protein bar. He looked around, he didn't see Quinn or Helen anywhere. He decided to enjoy the moment alone, even if it was a brief one.

He looked up to the sky, the clouds were somewhat ominous, but it seemed like a pleasant afternoon. The sun was hidden by some of the clouds. It was quite a lonely moment. Maybe he is used to being alone, but for a moment, he longed for a company, some company, someone to talk to.

Helen: Hey Hyperion!

As if on que, Helen and Quinn appear to give Hyperion some company.

Hyperion smiled as he saw the two girls approach him. He chuckled and got up, waving his hand at them.

Hyperion: Oh, hey, there you are! I was wondering where you two were.

He patted Helen's head before sitting back down, leaning on the rock wall.

Hyperion: I was starting to feel a bit lonely. I guess you felt it too, huh?

Helen: Yeah, a little bit.

Hyperion: Well, glad you two are here now.

He said, before taking another bite of his protein bar. He looked at Quinn.

Hyperion: Where were you two? Hanging out together?

Quinn: Not exactly. They assigned me to interior security, which seems to upset a lot of people in here who weren't already distrustful of me, you know, due to the whole drama between us getting the boot.

Hyperion: Oh yeah... that...

Hyperion scratched his head, he didn't exactly want to be reminded of that.

Hyperion: So they just have you going on patrol? I guess Apollo really doesn't trust you at all.

Quinn: If Apollo were here, he wouldn't have let us in most likely. I believe that we're only in because of Genesis being this settlement's leader.

Helen: I don't know who this Apollo is, but if he did all the things he said he did to you, he's just as bad as Miss Circle and the rest of the teachers that I had.

Hyperion chuckled at Helen.

Hyperion: Woah, not quite, Helen. Apollo is definitely not as bad as Mrs. Circle. He just doesn't really care for us after we, you know...

He said as he scratched his head.

Helen: I think that trying to make you look like you tried to kill yourself is just as bad. It might be even worse!

Hyperion chuckled once more and nodded at Helen.

Hyperion: Yeah, yeah... I suppose you are right.

He let out a sigh, before looking at Quinn.

Hyperion: Have they really been treating you badly? I mean, just because you are security.
