Chapter Thirty

CHAPTER THIRTY

The next day they woke up early para hanapin ang mga bagong hatchling na mga pagong. Pumunta sila sa may gilid ng beach kung saan may malalaking tipak ng bato doon at mas pinong buhangin at mga durog na sea shells. They weren't disappointed at may mga bagong turtles nga doon.

Binantayan nila ang ibang itlog na mapisa and guided them to the water para hindi kainin ng malalaking ibon. The whole experience was recorded in Amory's phone na hawak ni Matt. Sobrang cute talaga ng mga pagong.

After that they were about to go back to the main part of the resort at nagtatawanan pa sila habang nagkukuwentihan habang naglalakad pero nabitin sa ere ang ngiti ni Amory nang makita kung sino ang naghihintay sa kanila up the stone stairs.

Up there was Sebastian with his hands inside his pocket and glaring at the both of them. Napalunok si Amory ng laway bago awkward na tumingin kay Matt.

Matt is looking at his reaction dahil nga napahinto siya sa paglalakad he then turned his eyes to Sebastian and raised an eyebrow at him.

Matt doesn't look fazed by Sebastian's presence, he softly push Amory by the small of his back to go up the stairs first.

Nang tuluyang makaakyat ay agad niya itong hinarap but Sebastian turned his back urging Amory to follow him.

Amory waved his hand at Matt and mouthed 'thank you' at patakbong humabol kay Sebastian. Bumaba lang sila sa kabilang side na hagdan at doon din patungo sa pinuntahan nila ni Matt.

"When did you arrive? It's still early, namiss mo ko no?" He opened up the conversation.

Instead of answering, Sebastian faced him and asked. "What are you doing so early in the morning?"

"Tiningnan namin yung mga pagong!" Excited na kuwento niya pero binawi din agad ang energy ng makitang mukhang hindi ito natutuwa.

"I told you about the things I hate, Amory!" Amory sighed helplessly. Ano bang gusto nitong gawin niya? He is not doing anything wrong pati ang pakikipagkaibigan niya nabibigyan nito ng maling kabuluhan.

"There's nothing going on, you're being unreasonably jealous over something na wala lang naman dapat." He lowered his tone ng marealize niyang lumalaki na ang boses niya. Amory feel extremely frustrated because Seb is being this unreasonable so early in the morning. And wala ba itong tiwala sa kaniya? Does he think he is the kind of person who will go for every person he sees?

"He is obviously interested in you." Sebastian stated dangerously. Napaatras si Amory dahil sa dilim ng mukha nito. He doesn't want to fight because whenever they are fighting lagi naman siya ang lugi.

Amory sarcastically laughed. "You always think that...you know what, let's not fight so early in the morning sa bagay na hindi naman mangyayari. If we wanted to do something we should have stayed in our room!" Amory bit his tongue nang lumabas sa bibig niya ang maling reasoning. Obviously, it made Sebastian's mood more bad.

Nagulo niya ang buhok sa sobrang frustration. "I don't mean it that way, I meant wala naman talagang mangyayari."

" Right." Sebastian nodded coldly and turned his back at him, unconvinced about everything he said.

Naiinis na inihilamos ni Amory ang mga kamay sa kaniyang mukha at pasalampak na umupo sa buhangin. He look at the sea for a long moment to calm himself down. Ang frustrating ni Sebastian.

If a heavy metaphor is applied to their relationship, Amory is  the waves on the sea and Sebastian is the shoreline. No matter what, the waves refused to stop kissing the shoreline. The waves keeps coming back to touch the shore no matter how many times itong ipagtabuyan because that's how faith designed their destiny.

"Are you okay?" Matt approached him nang magdecide na si Amory na pumanhik, they were all gathered on the villa on top of the hill facing the beach.

Amory nodded his head and tapped Matt's shoulder. When he got nearer he saw an unfamiliar woman in there.

She's pretty, fair, and angelic. This must be the Melissa they were talking about.

Hindi nga ito nagkamali because Bettina introduced Melissa to him, according to her she was part of their circle originally. Nakangiting naglahad naman ng kamay si Amory dito. "Hi, my name is Amory."

"Such a pretty name for a handsome face. I'm Melissa." The girl sounds confident and smart when talking.

Amory decided to keep his distance from Sebastian the whole time they were in the villa hindi rin naman ito gumawa ng paraan para makausap siya.

Sebastian was just tending to Melissa the whole time they were there and Amory knew it was a normal thing for them to do because the interaction seemed so natural.

Ang hindi normal ay ang awkward na reaction ni Bettina at Craig pag tumitingin sa kaniya. Why the hell do they look at him that way?

After the breakfast, nag-aya ulit ng surfing kahit medyo maaraw na.

Amory removed his shirt to put sunblock on his body at ganoon rin naman ang mga ito. Parang nanay si Bettina at pinaglalagyan din ng lotion sila Vincent at Craig. Amory is waiting for his turn, magpapalagay din kasi sana siya sa likod.

While waiting he saw that Sebastian is still fully clothed at mukhang walang balak maligo, katabi nito si Melissa na naka two-piece swimsuit na. Amory just emotionlessly stared at them. He has a lot on his mind right now that he doesn't know anymore what to entertain.

Seriously, what's going on with that two? They don't appear to be just friends.

Naramdaman niyang may tumabi sa kaniya at kumuha sa hawak niyang lotion. It was Matt, itinalikod siya nito at pinahiran ng lotion sa likod. Amory doesn't have the energy to refuse, para kasing sumama ang pakiramdam niya.

He saw how Matt's action gotten Sebastian's attention, Seb was glaring at the both of them. Umiwas nalang ng tingin si Amory. He wonder whether that girl knows his relationship with Sebastian?

Amory thanked Matt at ito naman ang nagpalagay ng lotion sa kaniya. Napapabuntong-hininga na pinagbigyan niya ito.

"What's the deal with the Astor and you?" Matt asked in a whisper.

Ikinibit lang ni Amory ang kaniyang balikat. Dahil ano nga ba? Fuck buddies? Premium bestfriend? He sighed deeply.

When evening came and they finished their dinner, they decided to play by the campfire. And that was when things get heated up. Because when Melissa was dared to kiss the guy she likes the most inside the circle, walang alinlangan nitong hinalikan si Sebastian and he didn't refuse, instead he answered the kiss and wrapped his hands on her waist.

He saw how everyone looked at him at that moment. Amory can't take this shitty situation

Sobrang gago tangina. Nang-iinis ata talaga ang mga gago at ang tarantado talaga ng Astor na yun.

Amory walked out and blinked the welled-up tears in his eyes para matuyo iyon. Gago amputa. Bakit naman niya yun iiyakan?
