CHAPTER SIXTEEN
Siya ang unang kinausap ni Rain dahil gusto nitong siya nalang ang kumausap kala Mico. Rain is not in the right state so he can't handle telling a crowd about his experience.
Nang sinabi niya sa ibang kaibigan ang nangyari, galit na galit si Mico at gusto nitong sugurin si Alex pero pinigilan lang nila kasi they cannot afford another problem right now. Hindi basta-basta ang mga magulang ni Alex. Mayor rin ang mama nito but unlike Amory's dad, Alex's mother is very influential dahil nanggaling ito sa pamilya ng presidente ng bansa–her family emerges from Political dynasty. On the other hand, ang tatay naman nito ay may-ari ng isang malaking kompanya na nagmimina ng ginto sa bansa. Their family is a whole bunch of dirty people.
Para silang mga engot sa harap ng hospital dahil nakaupo silang lahat sa hagdanan sa harap nito at doon sila nag-uusap-usap. Dumating na kasi ang mga magulang ni Rain kaya kinailangan na nilang umalis dahil hindi puwede ang masyadong maraming bisita sa loob ng hospital.
"What can we do for Rain? We don't have power to go against these people baka pag isinumbong natin sa pulis hindi umusad ang kaso. Alam niyo na, sa panahon ngayon,natatapalan ng pera ang batas." tanong ni Julia.
They are still figuring what's their next move is going to be.
“Hindi natin puwede ingayan ang situwasyon until Rain is ready for people to know. Iba rin kasi ang prejudice ng mga tao pag lalaki na ang nasesexual assault. ”
“That's why the only solution we have is to kill that motherfucker. I wouldn't even mind going to jail right now.” Mico's anger was so evident on his face.
“Gago ka ba? Ayaw ko ngang makulong tapos masaya ang buhay nung hayop na yun sa labas ng rehas?” sagot naman ni Ismael dito.
“Hindi sagot ang init ng ulo mga par, it is just gonna ruin your judgement.” sabi naman ni Ron.
“ I can provide financial support pero pag sa connection parang wala naman akong maitutulong. But I want to help Rain too.” Sabi ni Josh habang nakatingin sa kanilang lahat.
“Ganto nalang, Josh and Julia, you see to it na macomfort niyo si Rain. Liwas tayong lahat na samahan siya pag vacant natin sa school.” Biglang sabi ni Ismael makalipas ang ilang minuto.
“Amory, nag-uusap pa ba kayo ni Soleil?” baling nito sa kaniya.
“Madalang but we're still friends.”Sagot niya. Hindi naman kasi masama ang naging hiwalayan nila ng dating nobya. Nasaktan siya noon nang maghiwalay sila but when they reconnected, they were both mature na and so nagclick ulit ang friendship nila.
“Her dad's a General right? Kaya mo bang makicommunicate sa kaniya. Maybe we can ask for help or kung anong puwede nating gawin na kilos.”
“Okay. I will try talking to Donatello also about the video.” sagot niya. Soleil's brother is also a lawyer kaya baka nga makatulong ito sa kanila. Amory wanted to ask his dad for help pero nagdadalawang isip siya because he still does not want to talk to him. Atsaka nalang siguro pag hindi sila natulungan ng dating nobya.
Pagkatapos mag-usap-usap ay naghiwa-hiwalay na sila ng uwi.
When he got home it was already six in the morning at may klase pa siya mamayang 10. He decided to set an alarm for three hours para makatulog ng kahit kaunti. Meron din siyang practice at training sa volleyball sa hapon–6 hanggang 10 PM.
Hinubad niya ang suot na pang-itaas at ang sapatos at belt at pagod na itinumba ang sarili sa kama.
He has a lot to think of right now but he was drowsy and tired.
He hopes Rain can get well soon. That's what his last thought before succumbing into sleep.
When he wakes up, he took a quick shower, hinanda ang mga gamit niya sa school habang nagbook narin ng 'Angkas' ride. Hindi na niya nagawang kumain dahil wala naman nakaprepare na food at kailangan niya pang magluto when he is this late. Kain nalang siya mamayang break time.
Kaso wala pala siyang break time ngayon kasi pag Tuesday,ten to five schedule niya. Bali meron nalang siyang isang oras bago ang practice pero parang ayaw pa silang palabasin ng Professor.
Nang matapos lahat ng klase niya, halos thirty-five minutes past five na, maglalakad pa siya papuntang volleyball court.
Kumakalam na sikmura niya tapos wala pa siyang tulog.
When he was walking towards the volleyball court itetext niya sana si Ron na dalhan siya ng kahit anong food pero may itim na sports car ang huminto sa may gilid niya. It was a familiar sports car, ito yung inuupuan noon ni Sebastian sa may parking lot kaya may ideya na siya kung sino ang tao sa loob.
This is not the best time for them to meet and surely not the best time for him to see Seb because he hasn't sorted out his feelings yet and they haven't come up with a good plan on how to help his friend Rain. He is thorn between Rain and his heart. He does not want him to think that he is ignoring his warnings about Sebastian's circle.
He heard the car door unlock at ang busina ng sasakyan, ginawa niya naman iyong hudyat para sumakay.
“Hi, what's up. Bakit mo ako sinundo?” Bati at tanong niya nang makasakay.
“I texted you three times already and you answered none of them.” He said in a matter of fact tone.
“Sorry. Bakit anong meron?” He checked his phone at meron ngang messages doon galing sa binata and some other messages. Hindi niya kasi nacheck ang phone niya dahil maghapon ang klase niya.
There was a message from Soleil also asking where and when does he want to meet. Nitext niya kasi ito kanina, he did not elaborate what happened to Rain but he asked if they could meet in person so they can talk about the situation personally.
He answered her message first. ‘Up to you. Will ask for a favor kaya kung kailan ka nalang free.’ sagot niya bago itinago ulit ang phone sa bulsa.
“Where are we going? May practice game kami ngayong six.” Sebastian checks his watch while still maneuvering the steer-wheel of the car.
“Okay, I'll just drop you off the court and just fetch you later after your practice. Anong oras kayo matatapos?” He ask while glancing at him for a few second then he got his eyes back on the road.
“10 but why? Vacant ko tomorrow morning that's why I have to visit Rain. Kailangan maaga akong pumuntang hospital.” Sebastian glanced at him again.
“Ihahatid din kita papauntang hospital, sa Penthouse ka na matulog. Let's just hang out for tonight because I have to travel to Europe next week.”
Wow. Panaginip ba to? Bakit ito ang gumagawa ng paraan para makasama siya? Is he slowly falling for his charm. He secretly smiled to himself. Gago kinikilig siya.
“Okay. I also want to talk to you about something important.” seryoso niyang tinignan ang reaksiyon nito.
He nodded his head in agreement to what he said.
When he stopped the car near the volleyball court, humarap ito sa kaniya.
He placed his right hand on top of his left leg, pinisil nito iyon. His action sends a lot of different emotions on him. Pagkatapos ay mas lumapit pa ito sa kaniya. He thought he was going to kiss him kaya napatitig siya sa labi nito. Turns out bubuksan lang pala nito ang car door sa likod niya.
Amory unbuckled his belt nang umayos na ng upo ang binata pero nakatingin parin ito sa kaniya.
“See ya.” Amory waved his hand. Sebastian nodded his head kaya lumabas na siya.
Nang makalayo ay napahawak siya sa dibdib niya. It was beating so fast.
Fuck. I am down bad for that man.
