Chapter Twenty-nine

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE

Amory looked at the outside view from their room's window at napahilot ng kaniyang ulo kahit sobrang relaxing naman ng tanawin sa kaniyang harapan. Sobrang lala kasi ng amats ni Bettina ginawa pa talaga silang roommate ni Matt. This shouldn't have been awkward kung hindi sila nito ipinipilit sa isa't isa.

And knowing Sebastian's temper, siguradong mag-aaway talaga sila. Amory is secured with himself because he does not get attracted to any guy aside from Sebastian. Pero alam niyang iba na naman ang maiisip nito.

Amory doesn't understand why Sebastian still hasn't given him the assurance that he wants; walang label, walang words expressing his feelings, but he treats him differently now—he is more caring and sweet towards him.

Minsan he would hang out together with his friends too kahit ayaw parin dito ni Mico. Amory tried seeing it as Seb's way of opening up to him and acceptance that he was becoming a bigger part of his life.

Amory kept telling himself that Sebastian will someday requite the love he has for him. But Mico and Rain keeps reminding to keep his head on his shoulder at wag sa loob ng pants niya. They kept telling him that Sebastian is not serious with him, and a day will come that he will discard him when he feels like it.

Alam niya naman na puwedeng mangyari yun and that is why he tries his very best to keep him. Dati hindi niya naiintindihan ang mom niya kung bakit ipinipilit pa nito ang sarili sa kaniyang daddy kahit palaging nambabae—no security, and assurance na nakukuha sa relationship but they are somewhat similar in a way. Mga tanga sa pag-ibig.

"Hi can I also call you Ry? Sorry if Bettina seemed pushy kanina and you're uncomfortable. Don't worry hindi naman ako namimilit ng ayaw." Matt apologized sincerely so Amory felt guilty that he was aloof towards the guy.

"No it's okay, I'm not uncomfortable with you." Pinili niya ang higaan malapit sa bintana.

The room have two separate queen-size bed and a huge clothing cabinet. Maluwag din sa loob noon and he doesn't feel awkward because he has his personal space.

"Can I ask something?" After a long time of silence Matt decided to ask Amory.

Amory is currently arranging his clothes inside the cabinet. Hindi naman masyadong marami ang dala niyang mga gamit.

"Bettina said you're not straight...what does she mean? You don't feel that way." Matt was looking at him with full curiosity and interest.

Instead of answering Amory paused for a moment and directly ask. " Are you interested in me?"

Medyo napaupo ito galling sa pagkakahiga at gulat na napatingin sa kaniya. He must not have expected him to be direct to the point because he was shy the first time they met.

But Amory wants to clear things up for the both of them. He is not available. He doesn't want to lose Sebastian because of a misunderstanding again.

Matt stared at him for a moment before answering. "I was...but I shouldn't right? Sabi ko nga kanina I won't force myself to anybody so chill up bro." He said then smiled at him.

Nakahinga ng maluwag si Amory atleast the air between them is now good. Ang kakulitan nalang ni Bettina ang kailangan niyang problemahin.

"Have you tried surfing before?"Umiling si Amory dito bago sumagot.

"But I'm interested to learn."

"Really? Craig and I were talking about surfing kanina. I can teach you."

Amory skeptically looked at Matt in the eye. Natatawa naman nitong itinaas ang dalawang kamay tanda ng pagsuko.

"I'm not going to do anything." Tumatawang depensa nito sa klase ng pagtingin niya.
