Chapter 7: Truth

High in Dathomir's atmosphere:

"My dear, I am pleased to see you and our child are well. I am sorry I have been so busy with the empire recently," Malidictus smiled to Talzin as she smiled back at him from the communicators. It had been seven months since the escapade on Korriban, and today was the day that they would march into the senate and proclaim their presence.

Maul had wondered why it had taken so long, but Malidictus simply smiled. "We need to build up our presence even more, my apprentice. We must show that our power is not something to be simply ignored," the Grand Emperor had responded. True to his word, in that seven months, the fleet had increased ten fold, and they had incorporated over thirty new planets, and twenty new star systems into the empire, as well as having the new droids, the "Korriban Elite" as Malidictus named them, having been stationed all over the empire, as well as a small portion of them being used for the imperial army, which was slowly growing.

"I know what you must do for the empire, and our future," Talzin responded, smiling and holding her pregnant stomach, "Just be safe my love." Malidictus grinned, "Of course my darling," he smiled back as the call ended. Turning around to face the bridge, the Sith lord admired the sight, tonnes of people from all over his vast empire, working away and making themselves useful, after all, each life in the empire is vital to the empire itself.

"Grand Emperor," a High admiral said as he walked up to him. "High Admiral Kilster, what is to report?" He asked. Kilster bowed and then responded, "The fleet surrounding Dathomir is at full capacity and ready for launch when you command," he said. "Excellent High Admiral. Resume your post, it is time we show ourselves to the Republic senate and see what they make of us," Malidictus grinned. The High admiral bowed and went off to do what needed to be done for the fleet.

Facing the window with his arms behind his back, Malidictus soon felt the familiar presence of Maul next to him, wearing his usual cloak which he had grown quite fond of. "My apprentice, glad you could join us," Malidictus grinned. "Of course my master," Maul responded, crossing his arms. "What is the status on the order of an evolved clone batch from Kamino?" He asked. Malidictus had ordered a vast amount of clones from Kamino, and using the funds he had acquired from trading with the empire, he managed to "pay" the Kaminoans to keep it under wraps and out of sight of the Republic forces which were stationed there, having also requested that the Clone army he requested use the DNA of one of his Templar Warriors and wear a specially designed, imperial suit that he himself had designed.

"They will be ready in a few days time my master. Is this the day we show the Republic what we have achieved right under their noses?" Maul questioned. "Indeed. I have already sent word to 77 about the operation, and we will have four Korriban Elites as our personal guard when we are on Coruscant. In case the Republic try anything, I have a plan that will make them soon regret it," Malidictus smiled, as four Korriban Elites appeared on the bridge. "Just in time," Maul grinned.

Maul couldn't be happier, his master would finally show the galaxy what had been happening right under their noses. Today was the day, that the Sith empire revealed themselves, and today was the day, that the Sith empire came into the light and infected it with its darkness. "Some days, I think I'm supposed to be proud of you," Maul joked as Malidictus let out a calm laugh. "Pride is a dangerous tool, but in our hands, it is used to express gratitude, never influence our actions," The Grand Emperor determined. Whilst he knew that the Jedi were aware of the empire, Malidictus knew that they wouldn't have told the senate out of concern and paranoia, and the few senators who did know about them, thanks to him and Maul dealing with Cad Bane when he occupied the senate, wouldn't have said a word due to their own concerns. So, now it was finally time to show the galaxy what it meant to be, a true Sith.
