On board the Super Star destroyer:
Malidictus stood at the front of the ship, gazing out of the large window with his arms behind his back, whilst his fleet officers, captains, and Admirals worked to get the fleet to Geonosis. The Grand Emperor had a special hatred for the planet, and especially the Geonosisians. Back when he was Vitiate's apprentice, his master had forced him to survive on the kriffing planet for a month, all the while, being attacked by the mind-controlled bugs that were called "beings". Now, Malidictus wasn't racist in the slightest, but he had a special distaste for the Geonosians because of what his master put him through, and to add onto it, the reason the bugs always attacked him, was because Vitiate mind-controlled them with his legendarily horrific mental manipulation skills, of which he was known for mostly.
Scowling slightly, the Grand Emperor sensed the two Zabrak brothers appear on either side of him. "My lord," Savage began, "should we be concerned about Dathomir?" The Grand Emperor sighed a little, "No, General. Talzin is perfectly capable of handling it whilst we are gone. She has had no issue with it before, not to mention that the majority of the Korriban Elites are stationed there, under strict orders to protect the planet and it's people. 77 gave me his word on the matter, and one has to understand the loyalty and dedication of the Korriban Elites have to the empire," he explained as Savage nodded.
Maul then spoke up, "My master. What is the plan for Geonosis?" He asked. This time, the Grade Emperor smirked. "You see my apprentice, in war, you must not care about how much of the enemies blood is spilled, but only care about how much of your allies, and civilians blood is spilled," he said, confusing the Zabrak. Noticing his apprentices confused look, the Grand Emperor explained. "It does not matter how many enemies fall, what matters is keeping the innocent out of the line of fire, safeguarding your allies, and achieving your objective. The enemy will not play nice, so we must disregard certain rules there are in warfare if we are to win," he said. Maul realised what his master meant and nodded. "This was Vitiate's cruellest lesson. Win, no matter the cost. I refuse to follow his strategy of blindly sending our men, our people, to die, but that does not mean I cannot alter the strategy to suit us better," he said. It was times like this that both brothers saw the wise but ruthless side of the Grand Emperor. The pair had noticed it a lot the closer they got to him. Maul being his apprentice noticed it first, and Savage being his loyal general noticed it second. The Grand Emperor would do whatever it takes to safeguard his people, but no matter what he did, he would not spill innocent blood, nor would he stoop so low as to resort to mindless bloodshed. It was sort of comforting to know that the empire was in good hands, but it was also quite worrying to see the Grand Emperor talk as if a battle was the last one they will ever fight.
Nonetheless, the brothers trusted their Emperor, their leader, their supreme commander. Unlike many other Sith before him, the young Sith Lord had gained his people's respect, not through fear, but through honour, and it really did help that he saw the potential in many who did not see it in themselves. For example, when he found Maul so long ago, he saw the broken state he was in, and took it upon himself to fix him, and show him the potential he had, rather than just throwing him away like Sidious did. Hence, Maul had a lot more respect and loyalty to Malidictus than he ever showed to Sidious, who ruled his mind through fear.
As they all watched Hyperspace fly past them, Malidictus' grin got bigger and bigger. "Come my friends, it is time I unveil our strategy for both winning the battle, and catching the Separatists off-guard," he grinned. "Or as one would put it. Catching them with their trousers down," One captain smirked. To everyone's surprise, Malidictus laughed a little, "A vulgar way of putting it Captain Grorn, but yes, that is the general idea," he grinned back. Maul and Savage both shared a slight smirk at the captains antics, this was what set Malidictus apart from the other Sith. He joked, and whilst he acted serious most of the time, he could enjoy humour, and not be a miserable, grouchy, butt-hurt, genocidal muppet like Sidious was.
