Chapter 28: Revival

On a space station somewhere in deep space:

Droids were moving their cargo on board a space station when alarms suddenly rang out, causing them all to run to the source of the problem. Opening the door, the droids entered with their weapons. "Fan out. I want a scan of the entire perimeter," the lead droid said, noting the power failure. "SD-357, have you found anyone in the south passage?" It asked as they moved about the room and opened another door. Suddenly, the droid that he had called was thrown to the floor and impaled by a red lightsabre, which was held by a black and red Zabrak in a black cloak and black attire. "Intruders!" The lead droid shouted, causing the other droids to rush to his location. Darth Maul picked up the droid with the force and crushed him to pieces, "You are trespassing on intergalactic-" the droid said before Maul crushed him. Marching into the main room with the droid still raised, Savage Opress came running in with his own sabre and sliced the droids to pieces before destroying the rest using the force and turning to his brother.

Marching around, the brothers looked at every little detail, as Savage broke into a safe with a grin on his face. "Brother look, a fortune," he as Maul lowered his hood and sighed. "We are not thieves Savage. We are here with a mission, serve the Sith Empire," he said as Savage reluctantly closed the safe. "How goes the engineering of our cover story?" Savage asked. "It is going well my brother. Our activities have already alerted the Jedi that we I am still alive, the question is, what do we do whilst we wait for orders?" Maul asked rhetorically as he looked about the office. "Tell me brother, why does your hate for Kenobi run not as deep as it once did?" Savage asked. "Our emperor has taught me how to channel it, so that I may grow stronger. Besides, with our cover story of vengeance on Kenobi, it only pushes me to be more ambitious with our eventual goal," he said. "Which is?" Savage asked. "The destruction of the false Sith," Maul snarled with a grin. Just then, Maul's communicator went off, and when he answered it, the form of Grand Emperor Malidictus appeared. "Grand Emperor," Maul and Savage bowed their heads. "My friends. I trust your cover has stayed intact?" Malidictus asked. "Yes my lord. Our story of vengeance on Kenobi is holding, the Jedi have been alerted to our activities and raids, and think we are operating on our own," Maul grinned. "Good. It keeps them away from finding out your true intentions, but not to worry, I will not let anything happen should you be caught. But that in itself seems an impossible act," Malidictus grinned. "What are your orders my lord?" Savage asked. "It has come to my attention that a problem within a certain allied world of ours has arisen, and shows no sign of ceasing. This problem could cause major dents in the plan as a whole should it get left unchecked. I wish for you two to sort it, I will be making contact with the leader of said allied planet to propose a plan should the problem become unstable and volatile. For now, I want you two to gather allies and work on implementing yourselves as important figures in both the underworld of the galaxy, and prominent figures in places of power. Do I make myself clear?" Malidictus asked through the communicator. "Yes my lord," both Sith said as the Grand Emperor grinned and disconnected. "What now brother?" Savage asked. "We share our strength, and do as we are ordered. We must find allies and cement our position as powerful individuals. As such, from this moment onwards, we must act as two Sith. The master and the apprentice. You are my apprentice, I am your master. Is that clear my brother?" Maul asked. "Yes, my master," Savage smirked as Maul grinned.

Meanwhile, Obi-Wan and another Jedi, Adi Gallia, were aboard a Jedi ship and heading to investigate the space station that had suddenly stopped working, along with a distress signal that had been sent. "The distress signal is coming from here, the Meridian sector, Cybloc system," Obi-Wan commented. "It is close enough to the earlier attack," master Gallia commented. "I have a feeling it's them," Obi-Wan said, remembering the footage of recent raids, which continained two Zabraks, one being Savage Opress, and the other being....Darth Maul. It was safe to say that Obi-Wan, had become frozen at the sight of him, seeing the man he killed over ten years prior just appear and continue to act as violently as ever struck a nerve with him and it really unsettled him, not just him, but the rest of the council as well, but more so with Obi-Wan considering it was personal.
