Chapter 27: Bounty

Because I kinda did the whole attack on Dathomir already, also because it wouldn't fit with my story, I've decided to skip that episode, but do not worry, I have found a way to work around that. Hope you enjoy :)

Dathomir:

The Grand Emperor was watching with Mother Talzin as they both eyed the future that they had just avoided. "You see my dear Talzin, this would have happened had we not established the empire we have together," Malidictus said as the nightmother nodded. "Indeed my love. You have saved our lives once again. To see my whole clan massacred, it pains me greatly. But I am thankful we were able to avoid this, thanks to the changes you have made," she admitted with a nod. The pair stood in the dark council room, with Bane overseeing a usual. "I have a suggestion my lord," he said. "Go ahead Bane," Malidictus nodded. "What if we followed through with the path that would have occurred should this future have happened?" He asked. "Elaborate," Malidictus said. "Darth Celeritas, or Ventress, would have gone out into the galaxy in search of her own path after her clan was killed. As she is your apprentice, why not send her out into the galaxy like you did Maul and Savage? It could work in our favour. After all, Sith apprentices were sent out on their own as tests." He suggested. Malidictus looked at Talzin, who nodded in support. "Very well. We will see what results your suggestion brings. Summon Darth Celeritas," he said as Talzin nodded, "Indeed my darling," she said as she walked off.

Moments later, she returned with Ventress. "You summoned me my lord?" Ventress asked as she entered. "Ah my apprentice, yes I did. Please, sit," he said, gesturing to the chair in front of him. "I'm sure you are aware of your training?" He asked. "Yes my master," she nodded. "In the old days of the Sith, apprentices were sent out on missions as tests, to prove themselves worthy of being a fully fledged Sith lord. I wish to continue this tradition with you," he said. "Master?" Ventress asked, confused. "You are to go out into the universe, and build a path for yourself, whilst also being my spy. You see, Maul and Savage are my eyes and ears in the underground workings of the galaxy, and I want you, to be my enforcer throughout the individuals born in this underground world, but operate on the surface, you see where I'm going with this?" He asked.

"I understand my master," Ventress said. She smiled with pride. "Where to first my master?" She asked. "Hmm. Tatooine is known to be a hotspot for such individuals. Travel there, do not reveal your identity, and make a name for yourself. You will be provided with a communicator that will allow you to send reports every now and then, but once your role is complete, you are to return to Dathomir immediately, I will give the order as such. Consider this your first major test my apprentice," he said softly. "I understand my master, thank you for this chance," she said with a bow as she stood. "Now go. I will update you with missions should something come up," he said as Ventress nodded and then left. "Now we have agents in all forms of the galaxy. From the surface, to the underworld, to the beings that hide in the shadows that are out of sight from the light," Talzin commented as Malidictus grinned with his hands behind his back and a grin on his face.

Ventress landed on Tatooine on board a public ship, with many other beings, droids, and species. Having hidden her Sith attire to further make her identity believable and now dressed in common clothes, she walked down the ramp and stepped foot on the sand covered planet. Looking around, she ignored a jawa trying to get her to buy an animal of sorts, and made her way to a local cantina, where she approached the barman and sat down. "Prow. Straight up," she said as she tossed some credits on the table of the bar.

The barman nodded and immediately poured her a drink, which she drank instantly. "Another," she said, as once again, a shot was poured and she immediately devoured it. As she drank, a rather unpleasant individual approached her. "Hey there. What's a pretty, bald babe like you doing in a desert like this?" He asked in a sleazy manner. Ventress, having not yet restrained her anger that much, simply glared at him. "Get lost," she snapped as she drank her drink. The guy grabbed her hand, "Hey! I'm talking to you lady!" He growled. Ventress simply took out one of her sabres, and aimed it at the guys stomach, before igniting it. Killing him instantly.
