Chapter 11: Killing a Queen

Geonosis:

The Jedi had been wandering around the northern end of the planet for hours on end. Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, Mundi, and their clone troopers had managed to meet up with Master Unduli, Barris, and what remained of their clone troopers after they had been shot down by the Sith fleet. "Master Kenobi, can you please explain what is going on? Why did the Sith suddenly attack us?" Luminara asked as they continued to walk. "Anakin lost control of his emotions and attempted to kill one of the Sith warriors, angering the Grand Emperor who all but declared war against us and had his fleet shoot down the Venators bar one, but crippled it massively. Now, we're searching for a ship to get back up there so we can escape Geonosis and re-group," Obi-Wan summarised. "Master Skywalker, you must learn to keep your emotions under control," Luminara scolded as Anakin looked guilty.

Ahsoka on the other hand, was focusing on a certain young Templar Warrior, one that was of similar age to her, and who she had engaged in lightsabre combat and had been bested by him. Something about him....intrigued her. "Ahsoka? Are you okay?" Anakin asked, snapping the Padawan out of her daze, "Yes Master. Just, confused about this whole situation," she said. As they walked, they suddenly heard scuttering coming from behind them. The Jedi and clones were instantly on guard, igniting their sabres and holding up their blasters. Silence reigned for a few minutes before suddenly, a swarm of bugs jumped on them, overwhelming them and knocking them unconscious before dragging them away.

Meanwhile, with the Sith empire, they had been heading north to the old temple that had been destroyed by the Republic in their first attack on Geonosis. The two Zabrak brothers stood on either side of Malidictus while Hopper, Dren, and 77 stood behind him. "What makes you think they are at an abandoned temple my lord?" Hopper asked. "Back in the days when I was on Geonosis, the queen would often hide underground, in places that people would not think to look. It makes sense that she'd be hiding under an abandoned temple which was already destroyed as to not arouse suspicion, wouldn't you say?" Malidictus responded as the ship dropped them off just outside of said temple. "It makes sense if you think about it Hop-man," Gunnar grinned, appearing from doing whatever it was he did, "Gunnar, shut it," Hopper coldly responded. "77, come with us, the rest of you, stay here and guard the ship," Malidictus ordered, taking Gunnar, 77, Hopper, Maul, Savage, and Dren with him whilst the clones stayed behind with the ship.

Entering the temple, the group became curious and on-guard as they noticed bug skulls hanging on the walls. "Creepy as Bantha shit," Dren said as they all got out their sabres and ignited them. Walking further in, the group stopped as they noticed the open hatch of the catacombs, as well as the giant stone carving of the Bug queen. "There was most definitely a struggle," Malidictus said, kicking the hatch lid to the side. "Over here!" Hopper called as and Dren picked up four lightsabres. Jedi, lightsabres. "Seems the bugs did our work for us," Dren commented as 77 crossed his arms. Malidictus knelt down and looked over the lightsabres, picking them and holstering one, before handing Dren, Hopper, and Maul the other three. "We enter the catacombs and do what needs to be done. Kill the Queen. If we encounter the Jedi, we subdue them," Malidictus said as they all nodded and went over to the hatch, jumping in one at a time.

Meanwhile, underground, Ahsoka woke up to see herself suspended in the air, alongside, her Master, Master Mundi, Master Luminara, but no Barris or Obi-Wan. "Hey Snips, welcome to the party," Anakin said in a grave tone as she saw that in front of her were tons of Geonosians, and behind her....was the queen bug herself, making her cringe in disgust at the sight. "Where's Barris and Master Kenobi?" she whispered, Anakin just shrugged, "I don't know, they weren't here when I woke up, they must have escaped somehow," he answered as Ahsoka looked around, hoping that the pair were okay and safe.
