Coruscant:

Dren was with Ahsoka in her cell. After having been taken to Malidictus, Tarkin then appeared and took Dren away, citing "Security reasons". Or course Malidictus saw through the douche's act, and knew that this was a simple way to get back at him, and also prove he was better than him. Safe to say, Malidictus was reaching his limit with the Republic, in fact, the only people inside the Republic he still had respect for, were Obi-Wan, Yoda, Padme, Riyo Chuchi, Anakin (somewhat), Bail Organa, a select few Jedi, and Ahsoka. This whole thing was getting way out of hand, and it was becoming less and less of an internal incident, and more of an international incident, considering the Republic was holding Dren, a member of HIS order and citizen of the Sith empire, under false charges of which he was innocent.

Entering the cell with Padme, and Anakin, and Darth Hopper (who had arrived on Coruscant and was acting as Malidictus' security as the Sith Emperor had requested), the Grand Emperor released a freezing sensation and aimed it at the guards out of spite, smirking at their reactions as he walked in and stood with the Jedi and senator. "Ahsoka, Lord Dren, I am deeply sorry to see you in here. Ahsoka, you did not deserve to be kicked out of the order in the way that you were. That is outrageous behaviour if you ask me," Malidictus said in a comforting tone. "Since when do you get to judge the Jedi order on their practices? The Sith order did worse," Anakin growled. "Skywalker. Do not compare my new order to those of the old, prideful, blood lusting Sith. My order is based on unity and respect. As for why I can judge them? I have seen far more Jedi fall to the ways of the Sith than you have, simply because of rhe strict, unfair rules that the order poses. As far as I'm concerned, only Master Yoda, Obi-Wan, Master Plo, Master Secura, and Master Shaak Ti, are worthy of my respect who are on the council. The rest of them can go to hell for all I care," he hissed. "But let us not fight now. Our egos are not the most important thing here, for now, we have to build a defense for both of them," he said.

Ahsoka the looked up, confused, "Both of us? Aren't you only going to be representing Dren?" She asked. Padme smiled a little, "Tarkin asked for someone outside the order to help build a defense. I was asked and accepted, but then Malidictus approached me and requested that he not only represent Dren, but also you as well," she said. Malidictus then grinned himself, "I am not part of the Jedi order, and I never have been, so that is one loophole that Tarkin can't use, as for how I can represent both of you at the same time? I am the Grand Emperor, I deal in politics for breakfast, so it is not a fat fetched guess that I can make convincing arguments. Especially when I have had to both run an empire, and engage in affairs that have nothing to do with my empire," Malidictus smiled comfortingly before kneeling down in front of Dren and Ahsoka. "I know you both are innocent. There is nothing that can change my mind on that, the Jedi council be damned. For this trial, you are both under my protection and have the backing of my empire, I have already talked with my dark council, and they're ready to offer their support should we need it. For both of you," he said.

"But...I'm a Jedi?" Ahsoka asked. "Indeed you are little one, but that doesn't mean that me or my dark council will stand by and watch you get convicted of a crime you did not commit," he said with a comforting smile. Hopper then spoke up, "I agree with my emperor, and not just because I have too. In my eyes, you are both innocent and being framed, I may be a military leader, but that doesn't mean I can't see facts where they are so blatantly obvious," he said with his arms folded and a small smile.

"Thank you Grand Emperor, Lord Hopper," Padme smiled as Anakin raised an eyebrow before crossing his arms. "Anytime senator. Although I have to say, it was surprising to hear that Master Yoda couldn't do anything about the decision, I hear he, Obi-Wan, and Plo Koon vouched for you to not be expelled, but were sadly outvoted. Seems unfair that some masters couldn't even vote since they were away on the battlefield," Hopper scoffed.
