Korriban:
"Are you sure it's here my lord?" Hopper asked with a rather cautious tone. He, Gunnar, and Dren had accompanied the Grand Emperor to the ancient Sith homeworld after he had sensed something on the abandoned planet, a signal of some sorts. "I'm sure of it Hopper. I could feel it, something I have not felt since my mother and father fell," he said. Dren then turned to Emperor, "If you don't mind my lord, could you tell us what happened to your parents?" He asked. Malidictus turned to look at him before sighing, "Of course my friend. But if I do, I must tell the whole story," he said before he began his tale. "My father....was a pureblood Sith," he said, shocking the others. "Really?!" Gunnar asked. "Indeed. My red skin and height are indicators of my heritage," Malidictus said as they continued their walk. "He was a fierce fighter in the empire, a pureblood who was renowned for his risky plans, warrior mindset, and wise words. One day, he was ordered to hunt down a false Sith, a woman. Of course, he easily found her, but what he didn't expect was her to be so beautiful. She was a dark side practitioner, a Sith, yet her fearsome is what drew her too him, what caused his stone cold heart to turn soft. Pushing aside these feelings, he ambushed her, and soon came to find she was incredibly skilled in the dark side, but not the false dark side, the true dark side, something he himself followed. Their duel lasted for hours, with neither seeming weakened by the fight. Eventually, they stopped, and exhaustion overcame them. As they rested, they began to bond, to learn more of each other, to become more and more in-tune with each others minds. When the time came that they both gained their strength back, they simply could not bring themselves to kill the other, and instead.....let their feelings loose. My father decided that this woman was now his purpose for living, not the empire, and this woman, decided that a nomads life like hers had to end someday. So they fled the battlefield, fled the empire, and escaped back to her homeworld, where they let their emotions run free, and from that love....came me. My mother was so happy when it became evident I too was strong in the force. My father was the same, but insisted that I get taught the difference between the true dark side and the false dark side from a young age, which I was. To many, it came as no surprise that I was just as talented in the true dark side as my parents were, naturally due to them being practitioners of the dark side, and my father being a pureblood. Anyway, the years passed, and I grew up with my parents, happiest child I could have been. But then, the Jedi came. They slaughtered my entire planet, and killed my parents due to both their, and the planets connection with the dark side. I managed to escape, and one thing led to another, until I eventually found myself in the arms of him. Darth Vitiate. The piece of Bantha shit that would become my brutal master," Malidictus explained, finishing his tale as the rest of his group just looked at him, sympathy in their eyes. He had so much pain, so much hurt, so much anger, yet he moved past the primal instinct to seek vengeance, and matured, changed as a person.
"But it does not matter now. They are with me every moment of my existence, so I am at peace knowing they are at peace," Malidictus sighed as they made their way through the Valley of the Sith. "So what exactly did you sense my lord?" Hopper asked. "Something I have not seen since I was Vitiate's apprentice. Another of my kind...." He said ominously. Everyone in the group exchanged nervous looks before continuing on with their trek.
----------------
Eventually, the group reached the temple at the opposite end of the Valley, one that reeked of dark side energy and bolstered each Dark side user that was there. "I sense it coming from across the way. Half a click at most," Malidictus said as they all went on guard and followed their emperor. It was a huge eye-opening experience to stand in the very place where their ancestors came from, the birth of the dark side. Being the youngest, Dren was the one who had the most curiousity, whilst the militaristic Hopper was noting down areas that could be used for possible ambushes and was constantly checking to see if anything was tailing them, whereas both Gunnar and Malidictus focused on the objective, despite feeling their power grow. Eventually, they reached a wide opening space that showed the night sky above Korriban, and in the centre of the ring, sat a man. He had bright red skin, dark coloured hair, and was tall, very tall. "I sense your presence," he said in a deep voice. "Then you know why we are here," Malidictus said as the others kept guard. "I do. You are like me," he said, raising his head. "I am, but I am not. Show me your face brother, I wish to see who it is I am speaking to," Malidictus requested. The figure then slowly stood up and turned to face the group, matching the tall Grand Emperor's height. "A pureblood Sith...." Dren whispered in shock. "H-how?" Gunnar asked. "Impossible," Hopper said.
"I am Ra'san, pureblood Sith, and one of the last of my kind," he said calmly. "Tell me Ra'san, how did you survive so long?" Malidictus asked, treating the pureblood with the same respect as he treated his people. "During the battle of Korriban, I escaped into the caverns below the surface. I fed off the dark side to keep me alive. I thought I was the last, but now I see, I am not," he said in a deepish voice.
(A/N, this is what Ra'san looks like btw)
"You have survived. You have done your people well my rare friend. Tell me, do you wish to see what I see in the dark side? What I see in you?" Malidictus asked as he placed a hand on the pureblood's shoulder. "I do. I felt your presence once, you are the apprentice of Vitiate. I do not wish to be the last of my kind or let our legacy die. I seek the knowledge of our past, and our future," he said. Malidictus brought the Sith into a hug. "You are home brother. In my empire, you shall serve a cause greater than that of survival. The cause of loyalty, loyalty to our people, to what I our history shows, to what it means to be a new Sith," he said. Meanwhile, the others why looking at the interaction in wonder. "Why does he call him brother?" Dren asked. "Because they are of the the same species. Do you not listen?" Hopper asked. "Our emperor is human is he not?" Dren asked with a smirk, which vanished as Gunnar spoke up. "He's half human. His father was a pureblood Sith, his mother was a human, honestly, do you EVER listen Dren?" He asked, annoyed. Dren just shrugged and went back to watching the interaction.
"I pledge myself to your empire, Darth Malidictus," Ra'san said with a small grin. "Then you shall join my empire, not only as Ra'san, but as the Grand Warrior, leader of the Templar warriors, and greatest fighter of them all," the Grand Emperor grinned as the Sith pureblood nodded. "Welcome to the empire," Malidictus said as he and the rest of the bewildered group just left. "So, just like that? We're letting him into the empire?" Dren asked. "DREN!! Have you done NO research? Brotherhood is important to the pureblood Siths. It's something that's managed to stay disguised throughout the years, but we were literally taught it in the temple. Sometimes I wonder how you even became a warrior," Hopper grumbled as Dren just shrugged.
--------------
So, this one is less of an action chapter, more of a short introduction chapter. I know it may seem like "oh ANYONE can get into the empire" but they can't, that I promise you. This chapter was more or less just a cool way to introduce Ra'san into the story, and since he's a pureblood Sith, I thought it'd be fun to add him into the empire to show how different things can be.Either way, hope you enjoyed, and the next chapter will be the start of Season 4 :)
