His Surgeon 2

The heads of the hospital were so glad that they scooped me up when they did, they needed a brain surgeon on staff, and everyone seemed to be excited but one person and that Dr. Tara Knowles for reasons that was beyond me, she looked at me like I was her worst enemy but I don't have time for highschool drama, I had a job to and I tend to do just that.

After Felips surgery I wanted to check on him, his incisions for make sure they looked good and his vitals, but first I had to tell his family that he pulled through, as I walked into the surgery waiting room I was expecting to see a huge group of people, look to be bikers but I don't care I'm not the type to judge,

" Family of Felip Telford?" I asked the group and a man with a leather vest that had patches on them one saying 'President and Men of Mayhem and the other side 'Redwood Original.'

" That would be us Doc, how is he?" He said hoping for good news and I smiled,

" The surgery was successful and he pulled through, I had to relieve the pressure on his brain but I expect a full recovery."

They seemed relieved and a man with a similar vest put said 'Vice President' asked when they could see him, I looked to the man who could be a male model instead of a biker which did nothing for me, he kinded reminded me of Alex. Cocky and a cheater.

" I want to do a post op examination first to make sure he's stable and then two visitors at a time." They all seemed to be ok with my answer, I told them I will let them know when it is ok and made my way to Felips room, what I wasn't expecting was to see Dr. Knowles,

" Want to tell me why you are examining my patient Dr. Knowles." I can't stand when other Doctors did this,

" Well Dr. Causon he's a friend of mine and wanted to make sure you job correctly." She said with confidence and a small smirk,

I nod my head and walk over to her until we are face to face and said,

" Look I don't care if he's a friend of yours but don't mess with my patients I am the most sought out Surgeon in all of the US, well world due to the fact I learned from the best. So do me the curiosity of leaving and if I see you in here again I will call the head of the hospital and have you banned from his room."

She didn't like how I talked to her and to be honest I don't care either way, but she did leave with her tail tucked between her legs, I shook my head and walked over to Felip to do my examination. I was talking to him the whole time letting him know what I was doing, believe or not patients hear everything.

As I was checking his pulse he woke up groaning trying to sit up,

" Easy tiger you just had major surgery let me help you sit up." He looked at me with those gorgeous eyes,

" Did I die and go to heaven because you look like an angel?" He said smiling and I smiled back checking his eyes for reaction to light and his reaction was real good,

" No but thank you for the compliment I'm Dr. Causion, your at Saint Thomas due to an head injury from a car explosion, I performed the surgery."

I went on explaining everything I did and he was thankful for me saving his life, I told him it was my pleasure, then he asked when he could have visitors and then when he could go home. I told him in a few days just so I could keep him for observation.

He nodded and I told him I would inform his family and that only two visitors at a time, I asked if he needed anything and what he said made me chuckle and that was my phone number, I told him when he is no longer my patient he can get it.

I left with a smile on my face and he had a smile as well, I was walking towards the waiting room when I over heard something that made my blood boil,

" Felip can not stay here, one his insurance doesn't cover his stay here and two he's in a gang, we don't need that kind of image here." So I walked over and is was non other than Margaret and Tara,

" Care to tell me why you are discussing my patient with her when told her to leave him alone?" I crossed my arms waiting for an answer,

" He's a friend of hers." Margaret said trying to defend her actions but I wasn't having it, so what he was motorcycle club that doesn't mean squat to me and second everyone deserves the best care,

" I told Tara to leave him alone, but yet she is putting her nose where it doesn't belong and you all of people so know about patient confidently, I will call the head of the hospital and report both of you and have her banned from him and if I wanted her opinion I would ask her but I don't. This is my field of expertise and I learned from one of the best brain Surgeons in the world Ellis Grey." I said with a smirk and they gasped.

" Secondly he's staying here, he just head major brain surgery and moving him can comprise his recovery and I need to monitor him during this time and I can't do my job if he's in another hospital, so I will pay for his time here." With that I left them with their jaws on the floor

As I was explaining everything to them the wife of the President of the Club overheard what I said and smiled, finally someone knocked those two down a peg or two and already liked me.
She followed me and introduced herself,

" Names Gemma I'm a friend of Felips and I'm impressed no one has stood up to those two and you did without missing a beat." I smiled and introduced myself and she thanked me for paying for his stay, she said if he left here he would be left unprotected.

We talked on our way to pay for the remainder of his visit and we went are separate ways, I told the head nurse I was stepping outside for fresh air and Gemma was telling the club what I did and told her son to get his girl in line and left Chibs alone and he went to do just that, and then to find me to thank me.

As I was sitting there he approached me,

" Heard what you did for Chibs and I told Tara to stop trying to interfere with him, told her to let you do your job."

It took me a few minutes to figure who Chibs was and then it dawned on me and nodded, he went on to explain why he got the nickname and that I was always welcomed at their club also they considered me a friend and that made me smile. I found my family.

After a few days Chibs was released on very strict instructions to take it easy and if there are any changes no matter what to come back to the er, I wanted to do a follow up in a week and he agreed,

" I didn't know you paid for my hospital stay, but I am grateful you." He went on explaining the club would pay me back but I told him I didn't do it to be paid back but did it as my oath being a doctor.

So be asked if he could take me out instead and I said yes, we exchanged numbers and went our separate ways, when I got home I called Meredith to update her on his condition, I had called her the day it happened and how I was thrown into major brain surgery but little did I know Alex had picked up the other line and was listening.
