"Okay, be super quiet, you go this way and I go that way and whoever doesn't get hit, grab the broom," Jasper whispered.

"I don't think that's the smartest plan," Marlene whispered back to him. "There are two of them on defence meaning that they can easily hit both of us." She indicated to Ian and Anthony who were guarding the broom that their team needed to obtain and bring back to their base. Jordan had brought up the idea of Capture the Flag and Willow Barlowe wanted to put some sort of magical twist to it so they got two brooms from the broom shed and charmed one to be blue and the other to be red.

The Red Team was: Jasper, Marlene, Quinn, Marty, Wyatt, Dorothy, Jonathan, Andy, Felix, Emmaline, and Wendy.

The Blue Team was: Maryrose, Harry, Ian, Anthony, Andy, Jordan, Ozzy, Elijah, Penelope, Gifford, and Fiona.

Fiona had ended up joining later. Jasper's team also had the advantage of having Venom, Dorothy's teacup spider on their side but so far – about half an hour into the game after building their snow forts (or as Wyatt said, their battle bases) no one had gotten close to either of their brooms.

The rules were simple. Get the opposing teams broom and bring it back to their teams base. For defence they were allowed to use snowballs or non-lethal spells. An example was the tickling charm and if they were ever caught they sat in jail until a teammate could get them out by a simple tap.

"What do you think we should do?" Jasper asked Marlene who were both hiding behind a bunch of trees near the opposing team's base.

"Well, it is only the two of them," Marlene whispered. "Everyone else is trying to get to our base by the looks of it or hiding somewhere so maybe if one of us goes the long way around...maybe some sort of disguise...we can figure it out and one of us can be a distraction for the other two...maybe we can pull it off.

Jasper gave a small nod. "We really should have thought of a solid plan before leaving the base."

Marlene chuckled. "We should have."

Jasper smiled, Marlene had a really nice laugh, and he wondered if he should ask her if she wanted to do something with him one day. He didn't really care what it was. It could be working on an essay and he would be fine with it.

"Er, Marlene I have a–" Jasper started, but he was interrupted.

"Pssstt," a voice broke out and Jasper and Marlene both recognized it as Wyatt's, but it was coming from above them. "Lovebird One and Two, do you have my signal?"

Jasper put his hands over his face. Was it that obvious? He didn't think it was that horrible and he peeked through his fingers to see Marlene had slight blush to her cheeks. Did that mean she liked him too–

"Hello?" Wyatt asked again. "Do you have my signal?"

Jasper looked up to the tree they were under. "Are you in the tree Wyatt?"

"Shhhhh, it's Tiger One now."

Jasper chuckled. "Tiger One, are you in the tree?"

"Not very tiger-like," Marlene said, looking up at the tree with a smile.

"It's just a name Lovebird One."

"Hey, why is she One?" Jasper asked.

"Because she is super cool!" Wyatt exclaimed a little too loud, rustling the tree with his excitement. "Have you seen her on the quidditch pitch??"
