Still, Sam and Dean drove back to the bunker and sat me in the backseat of the Impala while they prepared the funeral pyre. As Dean carefully took Charlie out of the Trunk, I finally had the strength to get up and follow him, placing a cherry flower next to her.

I don't know what to say, I thought while tears streamed down my face. "Charlie. We're going to miss you. You were the best, and I'm so sorry," Sam said but was interrupted by Dean. "Shut up. You got her killed. You don't get to apologize." He growled at Sam next to him. I turned around about to walk away back to the bunker. "Kaylee, where are you going?" Sam called after me but I didn't say anything and just kept walking to the bunker. Sam was successful in removing the mark not knowing that we set the Darkness free. Sam texted while I was in Minnesota with Donna. Dean needed my help in Nebraska two weeks later. When I arrived at the address, it was a hospital that looked abandoned. "What the hell?" I asked, looking around there was nobody around when I heard voices from one of the rooms. I tried to open the door but couldn't, so I knocked, and the voices quieted. A minute later, the door opened just a little bit, and one-half of Dean's face peeked outside. "Kaylee, come in quick." I entered the room and saw a female cop who was hurt.

"What happened?" I asked Dean, who returned to the cop. "Who is she?" the cop asked. "Jenna, that's my Sister Kaylee. Kee, that's Jenna." he introduced me; with a nod, I put my weapon bag down. "This is gonna hurt like a bitch." Dean said, sitting next to Jenna, who was getting stitched up on the shoulder. I was on the lookout, but nothing happened until another knock on the door; I looked over to Dean, who pulled out his weapon, telling me to get back. We switched, so I was next to Jenna while he was at the door, opening it like he did with me. I opened it, letting Sam and a man inside who had a baby in his arms. He told us what happened and how the Baby's mom died before Sam told us how he found them. "Im sorry to hear that, Mike," Jenna said, who seemed to know him. He continued revealing that he was infected by whatever had infected all the dead around us. "You know where I stand in this," Dean grumbled. "They kill him if he goes out there," Jenna argued. "Im with Jen on this. He can't go out there." I charmed in, but Dean ignored me. "So we're just going to wait until he kills us? Great Plan." Dean grumbled. "Or we wait for him to die. The guy who banged on the closet door died fast after. Seemed they have a short lifeline."

Sam mumbled, which frustrated Dean. "He's right. We can lock him up and find a cure. It's a hospital." Jenna said. "Are we gonna find anything in one of the medical books?" Dean asked. "Im sorry, Mike, but I think we're not gonna be able to find a cure," Dean said after some back and forth. "I know. I want to make a deal with you. I will find a quiet place and lay low, and you will take care of my baby girl." Mike said. "Deal." Dean agreed right away. "Thank you for that. I truly do, but I was talking to her." Mike turned to Jenna.

"I remember you from church since you were knee high," he said, passing the Baby to her, and before leaving, he said goodbye with tears in her eyes. Dean was worried that something else would happen leading back to us. "Guys, we have a problem," Sam said as we were about to gear up to leave; when I looked out the window, a car pulled up. "How do we kill them?" I asked, worried. "She knows, right?" Dean looked at Jenna. "In the chest on the right side where the heart is," Dean asked. "This is madness," Jenna said, and Dean argued back. "Im not gonna be the one who gonna shoot Mike after promising him to take care of his daughter." Jenna snapped.

"Where is the sense in there?" she added. "We can't wait for them to die," Sam argued. "How long do you wanna wait? If we stay here, the Baby dies, okay? "We did this, so we have to deal with this, alright." Dean snapped when his phone rang; I only heard half of the conversation since I took the Baby for a second; holding her gave me a bad feeling, like a stone in my head growing bigger and bigger, but it disappeared when Jenna took the Baby back. "We have to get out of here," Dean said again. "How?" This time I was the one who was almost freaking out. "Sis, come on, we can do this alright." Dean took me in his arms, holding me until I was calmer. "Get Jenna, Kaylee, and the Baby to the car. Go somewhere safe." Sam said all of a sudden. "You gotta be kidding me? How do you want to get through those infected guys?" Dean asked back. "They won't be tailing you, don't worry," Sam said, which alarmed me. "Sammy, no, please don't do that." I was about to cry again. "I'll be fine alright im gonna find a cure for this." Dean and I said at the same time that we wouldn't let that happen. "You have to let me do what I do, too," Sam said, so Dean pulled me away from Sam to the door with my bag in one hand. I took it but refused to walk behind Dean when Sam ran past us while Jenna, Dean, and I went in a different direction, with Dean dragging me behind him.
