As (Y/N) walked out of the school, memories come rushing to her in a flurry that she physically stumbled and had to lean on a fence for support. Memories about her being an extremely gifted exchange student fluent in Japanese filled her mind, her brows furrowing when realizing that almost all of her past save for those few differences was the same.

    This...

    It's weird...

Shaking herself of her stupor, she continued walking the short distance to her 'house,' from her memories, her eyes widening when suddenly realizing the neighbor's house looked quite familiar.

"Seriously?" She murmured with a raise of her brow. "Out of all the houses I could move in to, I moved in right next to Light? What is with this development?"

    She stepped inside.

    And then she stopped.

Her bag fell to the fooor as her eyes swept across the messy room in disbelief. Boxes full of random things from kitchenware to books lined the walls, clearly showing that her as an 'exchange student' hadn't unpacked. She groaned in displeasure. Pulling her hair out of her face, (Y/N) set to work, and a couple hours later, she stood up whilst rubbing her shoulders, a smile on her face.

It took a while, But I'm finally done!

Looking around, feeling accomplished, she then glanced at her watch.

    8:06.

If all is going according to the story, Light should be out of cram school by now. I wonder... if I'm somehow there, could I become affiliated with him?

    Maybe...

Become a part of the story?

    It could be fun.

I mean, why am I here if not to become a part of the storyline, you know?

Beginning to clean up—breaking down boxes and throwing them into the recycling, wiping down dust, etc—and tidying up the house, she grabbed her coat and ran down the street before finally reaching her destination, out of breath, spotting a woman struggling with a couple of men and Light inside a nearby store watching the process.

He was already writing the man's name down.

(Y/N) straightened up to make it seem like she was only walking by, her eyes narrowing when seeing the woman run across the street with one of the men chasing after her on his motorcycle, a truck barreling into him not a moment later. She flinched slightly at the gruesome sight, but her expression remained neutral.

She had already seen death before.

    "(L/N)-san?"

Turning, she locked eyes with Light.
