"Hi! I'm Amane Misa, (Y/N)'s close friend!" Misa introduced herself to the Task Force members when being brought to Headquarters after being blindfolded. "It's nice to meet you all!"

"(Y/N), tell me again why you involved a citizen not apart of the Kira Investigation again?" L murmured as took a bite from the bowl of chocolate and vanilla ice cream in front of him, his dark eyes boring into said girl's form. "I'm sure you understand that any and all information here is strictly prohibited to outsiders like Miss Amane, isn't that correct?"

"I'm fully aware of that, Ryuzaki," (Y/N) smiled. "But, I trust Misa."

"It didn't sound like you trusted her or were all that close to her when she was filming at To-Oh," Light crossed his arms over his chest, looking all too peeved at the fact of Misa's presence.

"We had a disagreement, okay?" Misa spoke out with a huff, acting to the point of complete perfection after being given the run down by (Y/N) of what she was supposed to do—regarding the fact that she could see L's name, she couldn't kill him unless she herself wanted to die, and she very much wanted to stay in (Y/N)'s good graces. "But we resolved that problem, didn't we, (Y/N)?"

"Yes, Misa... I'm glad we did," (Y/N)'s smile widened. "And considering that she was nearby doing a shoot, I needed a favor. She only obliged."

"I understand that... but now she's involved," L exhaled softly. "If she dies at the hands of Kira because of your actions today, then her death is on you. Would you be able to take that?"

"Misa won't die," (Y/N) stated firmly.

The detective's lips twitched.

There it is again.

That confidence... like she knows everything that is to happen.

"Ryuzaki, considering that everything has gone well and both (Y/N) and Matsuda are safe, we should try and move forward to the best of our abilities," Soichiro set a hand on the man's shoulder, his lips set in a thin line. "I don't like the thought of putting an innocent civilian's life on the line either, but there's nothing we can do about it now. Our best bet is to see if we can now use Miss Amane to try and bait Kira's identity out from Yotsuba using Aiber as Eraldo Coil, like you suggested in the first place."

"I promise that I won't say anything about this to anyone!" Misa declared with a raised hand. "And if you decide to work with me, I'll do anything you ask me to! I mean, this is a favor for (Y/N)."

Said girl raised a brow.

This is interesting.

Misa... she's barely even looking at Light.

Considering that she doesn't know he was originally Kira, and how he was rude to her... it's no wonder she doesn't think favorably of him.

So...

That directs her attention on to me.

Intriguing.

"I agree with Mr. Yagami, Miss Amane, regarding your involvement now in this investigation," L spoke as he took another bite of ice cream, his gaze drifting upwards to the ceiling in thought. "It would be foolish to not try to gain some sort of advantage now that you're here. Let's have Aiber contact Yotsuba as Eraldo Coil in regards to their request to him to find out my identity. We can have him say something along the lines like this: 'Amane Misa might know L since he once questioned her as part of the Kira Investigation.' Of course, that's just a ruse to cover up her actual part."

"Then, naturally that would make them want to have her as their spokesperson—so they can investigate her separately from Coil," Light deduced, L nodding to show that the boy was correct.

"And, Miss Amane, if we add in that you 'worship' Kira, would you be able to play such a part?" The detective then turned to the woman.

"No problem!" She immediately agreed.

"That's smart, yes," (Y/N) tapped her finger against her lip as she smiled at the thought. "This might make whoever is Kira want to contact Misa separately. If that's the case, it won't be long before their identity is revealed. And when that happens, we can capture them."

"Yes, but first... Aiber needs to actually contact Yotsuba," L held up one finger. "Aiber?"

"Right," the man stood up from his spot on the couch to exit the room.

"...and then we need to run through how Miss Amane should act when being questioned," he finished, giving Misa a pointed look that made her flinch and stiffen, going completely rigid as if being scolded by her father. "Everything must go perfectly if we want to investigate Yotsuba. And find Kira."

After speaking on the details of the plan to move forward with Yotsuba, the rest of the Task Force was dismissed. Misa gave (Y/N) a tight hug and an enthusiastic wave before being escorted down by Mogi and Soichiro, L asking for the girl to stay back with him—Light stayed behind as well, wanting to know what L wanted. They stood beside him as he faced the glowing computer monitors, the detective saying nothing for a moment as the seconds and eventually minutes trickled onwards.

(Y/N) raised her brows.

Sometimes, it was hard to try and figure out what was going on in L's mind.

And she often wondered about it.

Hm...

"(Y/N)... your relationship with Misa... it's not going to hinder the investigation, right?" L finally asked, not once turning around to look at her.

"Of course not," she blinked.

"And... what of your newfound closeness with Namikawa Reiji?" L furthered his question.

(Y/N) blinked at him again.

Huh?

That's what he's thinking about?

Is he... jealous?

"I wouldn't regard my one conversation with Mr. Namikawa as 'closeness,'" she merely responded with a smirk, lacing her fingers behind her back and tilting her head—acting as if everything was fine. "We were just making small talk. What's more, I was also trying to find any connections about Yotsuba to Kira without specifically mentioning it."

"Is that all?" Light hummed.

"Of course it is," (Y/N) shrugged. "Why are you two even concerned?"

L finally turned around.

His gaze clashed with Light's.

They both knew why—they just chose not to answer her.
