I don't feel like going to school, but just staying at home is boring too.

Standing up from her bed that morning, (Y/N) slid on her coat and grabbed her purse before walking the small distance to the nearby cafe Light introduced to her. Sitting down in a small booth and glancing over the menu, she contemplated over what to order before deciding on her favorite pastry which was then brought out to her rather quickly. Taking a bite, she hummed in bliss at how good it was, taking another before propping her head up in thought.

Today, Light will be aware of Raye Penber trailing him since Ryuk tells him.

How do I stop him from giving Light his badge?

Finishing her pastry rather quickly since she had many things to plan out and do, she exited the small cafe to return back to her house. Unfortunately, the more she walked, the more a creeping feeling of being watched settled within the back of her mind. Turning the corner of a building quickly, she then ducked behind a car, only peering slightly over the vehicle to watch and wait. Soon enough, a man dressed in dark clothing came into view, his head turning in every way which she assumed was to try to see which way she went. And as he passed the car, she leapt out and tackled him to the ground, pressing a knee down on his back whilst holding his hands behind him.

"Who are you?" (Y/N) demanded, pressing her knee down even further info his back when he didn't answer. "Why are you following me?"

"I'm afraid I can't say. It's classified information," the man grunted, struggling in her hold before gasping when feeling her hands slide along his waist. "H-Hey what are you doing!?"

She didn't answer, instead quickly reaching down to his belt to unhook the badge that was clipped there. She frowned when noticing that it was an FBI agent's badge, and she knew that there was only one reason why such a person would be in Japan at this exact moment in time.

Why would L assign someone to me?

"What's an FBI agent doing following me?" She still decided to ask, her eyes narrowing.

"Again, I can't say. It's classified information."

Her eyes narrowed at his answer, the hues brimming with questions, but yielded and released the man who quickly picked up and dusted himself off before she handed him his badge back.

This never happened in the anime...

But then again, I was never there.

Is this because I'm close with Light? That I'm a highschool student living alone? A highschool student that also lives  next to the chief of the police headquarters?

"You can't tell anyone you saw me," the agent ordered as he peered down at her, his dark eyes boring into her form as of trying to find some minute detail that could tell him just how she was able to take down an armed officer. "Keep this to yourself,"

    (Y/N) merely nodded.

Then, she watched as he walked away.

After he was no longer in her sight, she turned and continued walking the rest of the way to her house. And as soon as she arrived, she immediately locked the doors and closed the window curtains, only peeking outside to the rain soaked world to see if that agent were still following her.

    He wasn't.

    Her lips thinned.

If an FBI agent was following me, that means L is suspicious of me. And if I'm right, I'll only be further involved within the plot.

    She smiled.

    How exciting.

And as thoughts of what L was up to blurred through her mind, the man in question was currently listening in to the police department through a monitor, biting on the cuticle of his thumb the longer he stayed present. As the charge of the Kira investigation, it was crucial that any and all information, along with whatever material was at his disposal, was implemented.

"We brought the FBI to Japan four days ago and are fully operational," Watari—the only man to know what L looks like—informed L over the computer. "As requested, they are now gathering intel on the police."

"And this is the complete list?" L hummed.

"Yes."

    L glanced over the paper.

There are 141 people in the police force who have access to classified information regarding the investigation. I'm sure that somewhere in this list of police officers, and the people closest to them, we will find our suspect.

He glanced over the names, noticing something was off about one of the people as he murmured to no one in particular, "Too young to be in the police force, why is she included?"

L almost couldn't believe what he was reading, his dark eyes meticulously scanning the photo of (Y/N) presented with her information. She was young, beautiful, yet looked to be hiding so many secrets behind her gaze.

    It was intriguing, to him.

She was practically a ghost until she was caught. But even now, there is so little information about her—almost like she isn't even real. Kira, who I suspect to be a student, hasn't been killing for long. She hasn't been in the country for long either and  out of anywhere to live, she chooses to move next to the chief of the NPA?

That's far too convenient.

This report also states that she's been quite close to Yagami's son...

    L glanced up.

(L/N)(Y/N), if you are, in fact, Kira, it won't be long until the truth is revealed.
