29. Back To School Night & First Day of School

Discipline: Kennan/Elliot (M/M) Hand | Kennan/Eden (M/F) Hand | Dave/Cody (M/M)  Scolding

It's the next day, and back to school night. This year Eden and Elliot have different teachers, it will definitely be different for them. Right now everyone was getting ready for back to school night. They had to go to two different classrooms, so they needed to get there earlier.

Meanwhile in Kennan and Skylar's bedroom. "Do you think the twins are sad they won't be in the same class this year?" Skylar asks Kennan. "I think it will be different for them. But this way Elliot can make some friends." Kennan says. Skylar nods, "Yeah, I wish he could make friends easier." Skylar says. Kennan rubs Skylar's back. "He's just taking longer than other kids." Kennan says. "Kennan, he's going into third grade!" Skylar says. "I know, but he'll make friends." Kennan says. Skylar nods and breaths out slowly. "I'll go grab the kids while you finish getting ready." Kennan says.

Up at Dave and Amanda's House, they were getting ready to leave as well. Juliet was coming so she could help Cody around, and her memory is fresher since she graduated a few years ago. "You guys ready?" Dave asks. Both kids nod, and they head out to Dave's truck. "Looks like Kennan, Skylar, and the twins are heading to the school as well." Amanda says, as they're walking out. "Kennan told me they have different teachers this year. That will probably be hard for Elliot." Dave says. Amanda makes a sympathetic face, "I'm sure it will be." She says.

Once everyone's in the car, they start heading towards the school. It's not a super long drive to get there. Once they arrive, everyone gets out heading into the high school. Juliet is getting flashbacks to when she had to come for conferences her sophomore year, and was having quite an attitude.

"Juliet, you coming?" Dave asks, as she was trailing behind. "Yes sir, sorry." Juliet says, speeding up. "What are you thinking about honey?" Dave asks. "I-nothing." Juliet says. Dave gives his daughter a look that says 'don't lie to me', a look all the kids know. "I was just thinking about my sophomore year, when I was giving you guys quite an attitude." Juliet says. Dave nods along, "I do remember that." Dave chuckles.

Once they get into the school they go to the office to get Cody's schedule, locker combination, and uniforms. The locker should be the least of his worries, because he had one in middle school. Cody will also continue going to private school where they use corporal punishment. Cody tried to talk his parents out of it, but they denied. They said it's better to get spanked than have a detention or expulsion. Cody ended up just agreeing because Jennifer and Kent decided to send Lexi to the same school. It's a very well known school, and has a good reputation.

After Cody got his schedule and locker combination, they went to find his locker. It took him a few tries but he finally got it. "Alright, here it is." Dave says. "Right on the end, perfect." Amanda says. Cody nods, and smiles. "Here's the combination." Amanda says, handing him the paper. Cody tries opening it, but it won't unlock. Cody sighs. "Try again, you won't always get it the first try." Juliet says. Cody nods, and tries it again. "Ugh, it won't open!" Cody complains. "Cody, calm down. Try it one more time, if you can't get it me or your mom will try." Dave says. Cody sighs, but nods. Cody tries it one more time, and it opens. "I did it!" Cody says. "Good job!" Juliet says. Cody puts most of his things into his locker, then they go to find where his classes are. "You ready to go find your classes?" Dave asks. "Yeah." Cody says.

As there leaving the lockers, someone calls Amanda's name. Amanda turns around to see Jennifer, Kent, and Lexi. "Hey!" Amanda smiles, and hugs Jennifer. "How are you guys?" Amanda asks. "We're pretty good." Jennifer says. "Hi Lexi." Cody says. "Hi Cody." Lexi smiles. Amanda and Jennifer check Cody and Lexi's schedule and they have english and history together. "Well, we're going to go find the classes. We'll see you guys later." Amanda smiles. "Goodbye Mrs. Emerson." Lexi says. "Bye honey."
