(Reece's pov)

I'm jolted awake by something hitting me in the chest. I take a few minutes for the pain to subside, then check to see if Marjorie is ok. I turn to face her, finding her sweating and moving all over the place. She must of bashed me when she was moving about.

I grab my phone to check the time. 6:00. The alarm was going to go off soon, as we were meant to be going to work. I don't think she can go in today. I focus my attention back to her, gently pressing the back of my hand to her forehead. Yep, she is definitely burning up.

My poor baby. I will have to wake her up, to get her to take some medicine for the fever, she's not going to be happy about missing work.

"Gorgeous?" I say, gently stroking the side of her face, "Hi baby, are you ok?" I ask, as she slowly opens her eyes.

"Huh? Is it work time already?" she whispers, rubbing her eyes and her voice coming out raspy.

"I don't think you are going to work today. You have a fever, you are sweating and have been tossing and turning all morning. I think you need to take a few days off to rest up and recover." I say, gently kissing the side of her head.

"Noooo, you know how much I hate missing work. Please let..." she replies, yet being interrupted by a coughing fit. I rub her back gently, waiting for it to calm down.

"Yeah, you are definitely not going in. I'm messaging Aut and going downstairs to get you medicine. You, remain here in bed." I sternly tell her, kissing the side of her head and climbing out of bed.

I get downstairs in the kitchen, grab the medicine out of the cupboard, get a glass of water and then get my phone out.

Reece - Aut, Marjorie won't be in today, she is sick, she also won't be in for the next few days. Hope it won't cause too many problems.

She replied almost immediately.

Aut - Ok big brother, hope Marjorie will be ok, I'll book you off work too, I'm sure you will want to look after her.

Reece- Thanks Aut.

I grab the stuff, then head back upstairs. I walk into the bedroom, where I find an empty bed. I shake my head and place the water and medicine on the table by the bed.

"Gorgeous? Where did you go?" I call out, to which I hear a response coming from the bathroom.

"In here!" she yells back.

I open the bathroom door to find her drying herself from the shower. I wasn't downstairs for too long, not long enough for a shower at least.

"Marj, what are you doing?" I ask, standing in the doorframe, leaning against the side of it.

"Oh, I thought I'd hop in the shower, just a quick one to wash my hair before work, I felt a bit better." she replies, looking at me with a slight smile.

"You aren't going into work today. I have booked you and I off for the next few days. You are ill, and you will stay at home with me, recovering." I say, looking at her sternly.

"Ughhh, I guess I can't argue with that. Okay, I'll stay home." she says, walking towards me, when she stumbles and almost falls, I manage to get to her and gently bring her to the floor to sit.

"Okay, maybe I'm not feeling entirely better." She says, adding a slight laugh onto the end. I nod, pick her up and carry her back to bed. I lay her down and grab her water and meds, making sure she takes them.

"Okay gorgeous, I'm going to make breakfast, is there anything you want?" I ask, as she shakes her head.

"I don't know. Whatever you make." she replies, kissing my head and lying back down.

(Marjorie's pov)

Reece leaves the room, and it feels empty. I miss him already. I grab my phone and open it to message Autumn.

Marjorie - Hey Aut, I know Reece already messaged and booked me off work, but can you please give me updates of what happens, you know how much I hate missing work, thanks! xx

Aut - Of course Marjorie, perk up soon x

I love how she has a soft side. Not many people see it and she has a hard exterior, but for the people she likes, dare I say loves, she has a soft side. She wouldn't do this for a lot of people.

I put my phone back down and lay staring at the ceiling waiting for Reece to get back. I can smell the eggs he is cooking, and I'm now getting really hungry.

I can't wait for him and food anymore. I get up, slowly as I don't want to fall again. I make my way downstairs, and into the kitchen.

I stand there in the kitchen doorway, staring at my man, cooking me breakfast. It is the best thing to see, and I can't help but smile from cheek to cheek.

He turns to look at me. "What you doing there gorgeous? You are meant to be in bed resting." he says, plating up the food, however leaving it and walking towards me.

"I'm fine darling, I just missed you." I say, reaching out, putting my hands around his neck and his hands reach round my waist, pulling me close. He goes in to kiss me but I stop him.

"I don't want to get you sick, I would be the world's worst girlfriend if I did that." I say, as he shakes his head.

"Oh gorgeous, I wouldn't even care if you got me sick, I can't go forever without kissing you, even if it means the slight chance of sickness." he says leaning in, placing a kiss on my lips.

I kiss back into him, only pulling away for air. "Okay, that was what I needed. But let's go eat this breakfast you have cooked, I'm starving." I say, a smile creeping on my face as he takes my hand and leading me to the table, bringing the food over.

These next few days are going to be the best, I can already feel it.
