(Reece's pov)
I'm taking Marjorie on a date. I still feel bad when we had an argument the other day so I'm going to make it up to her. We are both sat on the sofa after a very long Friday, Marjorie cuddled up into my side. "Marjorie?" I ask, the nervousness in my voice apparent, as she sits up and looks to me. "You okay darling?" she asks, concern filling her face. "I just wanted to know if maybe you wanted to go on a date night tonight, just to the park, have a picnic?" I ask, looking down, nervous she will say no and want to stay in. She gently places her hands on either side of my face, softly lifting it up to look in my eyes, "Of course Reece, I would love to." she says, smiling at me and connecting us in a kiss.
"Right I have to go get ready." she says, breaking the kiss and running upstairs. I laugh watching her run to get changed, she is gorgeous enough as it is, she really doesn't need to change. I decide to stay in what I am, it's just my normal jeans and hoodie, but it's good enough for this.
I walk upstairs to find Marjorie rushing around our bedroom. I let out a laugh and she stops dead in her tracks, "What's so funny mister?" she says bluntly, turning and glaring at me. I just smile, "Nothing." I say and she walks over to me trying to be intimidating, however I still tower over her. "What. Is. So. Funny." she repeats, stopping at the end of every word. "It's just you," I start to say and she loses her scary demeanour and a sad look washes over her face, "Oh no baby not like that," I give her a gentle kiss on her forehead, I definitely didn't mean it like that, "It's just that you are running around getting ready for this date like it's your wedding." I finish, my arms wrapping around her waist, hers going around my neck. "Well I just want to look nice for you." she says a smile creeping on her face. "You always look stunning, no matter what you wear, or don't wear." I say, winking at her and she playfully slaps the back of my neck. "Reece Knight, you cheeky man. Right now I have to get ready." she says, giving me a quick kiss and then going back to getting ready, whilst I head back downstairs, getting our picnic sorted.
(Marjorie's pov)
I watch as Reece shuts the door behind him, and I run into the shower. I quickly take off my clothes and hop in the shower, washing my hair as quickly as possible, I really don't want to make Reece have to wait around for ages.
Once I am done, I hop out and dry myself off, and make my way back into the bedroom. I go over to the wardrobe to pick out an outfit. I have a few options and I'm standing there with two different dresses in my hand, I don't know which one to pick. I quickly pick up my phone and dial a number, placing the phone by my ear.
"Hello?" Charlotte answers.
"Hi my love. I have a question. Well two, can I really quickly switch this call to a facetime, I need to show you something and get your opinion on it." I ask her, hoping I haven't caught her at a bad time.
"Of cou-" she starts yet Mia interrupts, "Marjorie this better be good, I was enjoying my time with my girlfriend." She spits out and I pull a disgusted face, I definitely will pay for interrupting this.
"It's only really quick Mia, keep quiet." I respond and press the button to turn it into a facetime, to which seconds later I see Charlottes face, smiling at me.
"Sorry about her Marjorie," she glances off to the side of the phone, presumably looking at Mia, "What is it you need help with?" she asks, looking back at the phone. I flip the camera and show her the two dresses I have laid out on the bed.
"I don't know which one to pick Char, Reece is taking me on a date to the park and I can't pick which dress to wear." I tell her my problem and she just smiles.
"That's nice of him. I think you should go with the white one, whenever you wear that one it always looks stunning on you." she says, before Mia butts in again.
"Charlotte Victoria, I better have heard that wrong." she bluntly says, and I thank Char and quickly hang up, that was not something I wanted to witness.I put the other dress back and leave the white one on the bed. I head to my vanity and sit down, plugging in the blowdryer. I dry my hair and then plug in my curler. Reece loves my hair curled, and I do too. I curl my hair and then pop it up into a half up-half down hairstyle, adding a white bow to the back. I put on some light makeup, not too much as it was only Reece, and he always says he prefers me without it, yet it is in public and I feel a need to wear some in public. I slip the dress on and add any last minute touches, and then head downstairs.
