(Marjorie's pov)
I can't believe I have a little family, my own little family.
I roll over in Reece's arms, looking as his hair swoops across his forehead, a few strands across his eyes. He really needs to cut it, but he refuses to, after what happened last time he did.
I push a few of the strands out of his face, and start kissing all over it gently, not enough to wake him, but enough to satisfy myself.
I sigh contentedly, before resting my head back onto the pillow.
I start tracing circles on his chest, threading my other hand through his blond hair.
"Morning gorgeous," Reece whispers in his raspy morning voice.
"Mhm," I respond, cuddling closer into him.
"Would've thought I'd have gotten more words from you, your lips definitely aren't broken," he chuckles.
"Sorry," I mumble.
"It's okay, it was quite nice," he says, twirling a few strands of my hair between his fingers. "Now, what do you want to do today? We have all day today, all day with our little girl," he says, smiling widely.
"Our little girl," I repeat, smiling widely into his chest.
"I can't quite believe it, our girl. So, what do you want to do?" he asks, gently lifting my face up.
"I think-" I'm interrupted almost as soon as I open my mouth.
"Mama," Ceci calls out. I sit up in bed, and see her standing in the doorway, clutching onto her new teddy bear stuffed toy.
"Hey bubba, you okay?"
"Miss you," she mumbles, clutching her teddy tighter, sucking on her thumb.
"Come here bug," Reece says, beckoning her over. She smiles, before running to his side of the bed, holding up her hands. He picks her up, placing her in between us on the bed.
"Papa!" she squeals, jumping on top of Reece, as they tickle each other, in fits of laughter and giggles.
I smile watching them, as they eventually tire out, and Ceci sits up on her dad's chest, before looking at me.
"Mama," she makes grabby hands at me.
"Hey bubs," I say, pulling her off of Reece, and into my arms, as she snuggles close to me.
It takes all of three seconds before I hear soft snoring sounds, and I look down to see Ceci has fallen asleep, still clutching her teddy in one hand.
"She's fallen asleep," I whisper, softly giggling at the same time.
"How cute. So, what do we do now?" he whispers back.
"I think I'll pop little one here back in her bed, and then you and I can head downstairs?" I suggest, and he nods in agreement.
I slowly get out of bed, making sure to not wake the sleeping child in my arms. I carry her to her room, stopping every time she slightly stirred. Once I eventually get there, I lie her down in her bed, unwrapping the arm that clung to me, before pulling her duvet up. I lay a soft and gentle kiss on her forehead, before leaving the room, leaving the door open ever so slightly.
I walk downstairs, expecting to find Reece somewhere, but he isn't.
I just assume that he is probably still upstairs, and I just beat him downstairs. Odd though, I could have sworn I took like five or more minutes to put her back, considering the walk took forever as I didn't want to disturb her.
I walk into the kitchen, and find a cup of coffee already made on the side, a little note lying next to it.
Made this for you, my beautiful wife x
I smile reading the short note, before picking up my coffee and taking a sip, sighing contentedly when I realise it's made exactly how I like it, and even better than when I make it.
"Wait, where are you?" I turn around, almost asking the note in a way. I realise what I just did, I just asked a piece of paper where he was. I start laughing at myself, so hard that tears start to form. I calm down, and wipe the tears away, when I hear keys in the door.
Reece walks in, a few bags in hand.
"Hey handsome. Where have you been?" I question.
"Realised we had no food, so....." he starts to answer as he places the bags on the counter, then finally looks at me, "Have you been crying?" he asks, gently cupping my cheeks, running his thumbs over them.
"Oh, well yeah-" I go to answer, but get interrupted.
"Shit. I'm sorry baby. Please don't tell me I worried you. I didn't mean to," he starts rambling, and I just shake my head.
"Reece," I say, stopping him from going on, and getting him to look me in the eyes properly, "It was not you. I saw your note, which was adorable by the way. Then, I caught myself asking your note a question, and when I realised I did, I burst into laughter, so much so I started crying. You did not worry me one bit, okay?" I explain to him, and he relaxes once he finally gets all the information.
"I'm glad. Anyway, I grabbed some food, we were almost out," he says, giving me a swift kiss, before returning to the bags, and starting to unpack them.
