The music club members gathered at a lively restaurant for their first dinner together. The atmosphere was buzzing with excitement as they all sat around a large table, exchanging introductions and sharing their first impressions.

Dai looked around, searching for Shun. Spotting him talking to a man near the bar, Dai walked over to greet him.

“Hey, senior,” Dai said with a cheerful smile.

The man beside Shun asked Shun , " who is he?" Shun said , " he is Dai. My junior and also one of the club members."

That man extended a hand and said , “Hi, I’m Taehoon. Shun's friend and also the owner of this restaurant. Nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you too, Taehoon,” Dai said enthusiastically, shaking his hand.

Shun nodded toward the table. “Why don’t you go join the others? I’ll be there soon.”

“Okay, see you in a bit,” Dai said, making his way back to the table.

Taehoon watched Dai walk away. “That kid looks so high-spirited,” he remarked.

Shun nodded, though he said nothing.

“Are you still not thinking about dating?” Taehoon asked, his tone teasing.

Shun sighed. “I’m just focusing on my studies for now.”

Taehoon laughed. “Tell me when you’re ready. I have a bunch of cool guys lined up.”

Shun gave a light laugh and patted Taehoon on the shoulder before heading to join the others at the table.

The table was covered with a variety of dishes that made everyone’s mouths water. There was sushi, with perfectly sliced fresh fish; tempura, crispy and golden; ramen, with rich broth and tender noodles; yakitori, skewers of juicy grilled chicken; and a variety of colorful sashimi.

“This looks amazing!” Rika exclaimed, her eyes wide.

“Yeah, let’s dig in!” Akira added, picking up his chopsticks.

As they ate, one of the girls turned to Shun. “Senior, I heard that you’re gay. Is it true?”

Shun nodded. “Yes, it is.”

Dai felt a strange, indescribable feeling in his heart at Shun’s admission. The girls around the table sighed dramatically.

“Unlucky us,” one of them said. “We thought we had a chance.”

Shun smiled gently. “Don’t be sad. I hope you all will find someone you like.”

Later in the meal, Dai mustered up the courage to ask, “Do you have someone you like, senior?”

Shun shook his head. “No, I don’t.”

Dai couldn’t help but feel a surge of happiness at Shun’s answer. The group continued to talk and laugh, sharing stories about their lives and getting to know each other better.

“I used to play in a band back in high school,” Akira said. “We were terrible, but it was a lot of fun.”

“Really? What did you play?” Dai asked.

“The drums,” Akira replied. “I’ve always loved making noise.”

Rika laughed. “I can see that!”

“What about you, Dai?” another member asked. “How did you get into music?”

“I started playing guitar when I was little,” Dai said. “My dad taught me. Music has always been a big part of my life.”

As the dinner continued, the camaraderie grew stronger. Everyone felt more connected, united by their shared passion for music.

When they finally left the restaurant, Dai walked alongside Shun. “Senior, how will you get home? Should I call a cab for you?”

Shun shook his head. “My apartment is nearby. I’ll walk.”

“Oh, my cab is here,” Dai said as a taxi pulled up. “See you tomorrow then.”

“See you tomorrow, Dai,” Shun replied with a nod.

As the cab drove away, Dai found himself thinking about Shun. There was something about him that was undeniably attractive, something that drew Dai in like a magnet. He couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but he knew that he wanted to get to know Shun better.

The feeling was both thrilling and confusing, leaving Dai with a fluttering heart and a head full of questions as he headed home.
