The night was serene, the world outside quiet as Dai and Shun lay together, wrapped in each other's arms. The warmth between them was a comfort, a sanctuary in the stillness of the night. Shun's head rested against Dai's chest, his arms draped around Dai's waist, holding him close. The steady rhythm of Dai's heartbeat echoed in Shun's ear, lulling him into a sense of peace he had never felt before.

Shun let out a contented sigh, nuzzling closer into Dai's embrace. "Now this feels like a real home," he whispered, his voice soft, almost as if he were speaking to himself. The words carried a weight of meaning, a depth that spoke of more than just the physical space they occupied. It was about the sense of belonging, of being with someone who made the world feel complete.

Dai tightened his arms around Shun, his hand gently running through Shun's hair. "Shun," he began, his voice low and tender, "do you want to meet my family tomorrow?"

Shun blinked, lifting his head slightly to look at Dai. His eyes widened in surprise, unsure if he had heard correctly. "What... What did you just say?"

Dai met Shun's gaze, his expression soft but serious. "I asked if you want to meet my family tomorrow."

Shun stared at Dai, his mind racing to process what he had just heard. "Are you... Are you serious?"

Dai nodded, his eyes holding Shun's with a sincerity that left no room for doubt. "Yes, I'm serious," he replied, his voice steady and warm.

**Four Hours Earlier...**

Dai sat at the dinner table with his family, the familiar comfort of their presence surrounding him. The conversation flowed easily, laughter and stories shared over the meal. But as the evening progressed, Dai knew he needed to say something, something important.

Clearing his throat, he glanced at his father and then at the rest of his family. "I need to say something to you guys," Dai began, his voice steady but tinged with a hint of nervousness.

His father looked up, his expression curious but attentive. "What is it, Dai?"

Dai took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "I... I love someone," he said, feeling a warmth spread through him at the confession. "I haven't been dating him for long, but we're serious about our relationship. I want you guys to meet him."

There was a moment of silence around the table as his family processed the news. Then, Dai's mother smiled warmly, her eyes filled with understanding and love. "That's great, Dai," she said gently. "How about tomorrow?"

Dai's father nodded in agreement, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "It's the weekend, so you can bring him home. We'd love to meet him."

Dai's elder sister clapped her hands together, her excitement bubbling over. "Oh my gosh, this is so exciting! I can't wait to meet him!"

His elder brother, usually the more reserved one, grinned and gave Dai a thumbs-up. "Nice going, Dai. I'm happy for you."

Dai felt a wave of relief and joy wash over him at their reactions. "Thank you," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "I really love you guys."

His mother reached across the table to place a hand over his. "We love you too, Dai. And we're happy that you've found someone special."

Dai smiled, the warmth of his family's acceptance filling him with a deep sense of gratitude. "I'm going to go meet him now," he said, standing up from the table. "Bye."

His family waved him off with smiles, watching as he left the house with a spring in his step. They could see how happy he was, and it filled their hearts with joy to see him so in love.

Dai quickly got into his car, his thoughts already on Shun as he drove to his apartment. The drive felt longer than usual, his excitement making time seem to slow down. When he finally arrived, he parked and practically ran to Shun's apartment, eager to see him, to hold him, and to share the news.

**Present...**

Dai smiled softly as he remembered the earlier conversation with his family. He looked at Shun, who was still trying to process everything. "Today, I told them about you, and they want to meet you," Dai said, his voice tender.

Shun's eyes searched Dai's, still filled with a mixture of surprise and nervousness. "Will they like me?" he asked again, his voice quieter this time, as if he was almost afraid of the answer.

Dai's expression softened further, and he leaned in to kiss Shun's forehead, his lips lingering there for a moment and then he cupped Shun's face in his hands, his thumbs gently brushing Shun's cheeks. "They will like you, Shun," he said firmly. "My family is really nice. They care about what makes me happy, and you make me happy. They'll see how amazing you are, just like I do. They love me and always want me to to be happy and you make me happy."

Shun looked down, his fingers lightly tracing patterns on Dai's chest as he thought about it. "What if... what if they don't because of my background?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Dai gently lifted Shun's chin, forcing Shun to meet his eyes. "Shun, listen to me," he said, his voice firm but full of love. "Even if they don't, it doesn't change anything between us. You are the one I want to be with, no matter what."

Shun felt a surge of emotion at Dai's words, his heart swelling with love and gratitude. "Thank you, Dai," he whispered, his voice trembling slightly.

Dai smiled, brushing his thumb gently across Shun's cheek. "I love you, Shun. Nothing and no one will ever change that."

Shun smiled back, feeling the last of his doubts melt away. He leaned in, resting his forehead against Dai's. "What do your parents like?" he asked softly.

Dai raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on his lips. "Why?"

"I want to buy some gifts for them," Shun replied, his voice earnest.

Dai chuckled, shaking his head slightly. "That's not needed, Shun. You don't have to do that."

"No," Shun insisted, his tone firm but gentle. "It's my first time meeting them. I should definitely get something."

Dai looked at Shun, seeing the determination in his eyes, and he couldn't help but smile. "Okay," he agreed. "I'll take you shopping, and we can buy them together."

Shun's face lit up with a smile, his heart filled with warmth at Dai's support. "Thank you," he said softly, feeling more at ease with the thought of meeting Dai's family.

They held each other close, the promise of tomorrow filling the room with a quiet anticipation. In that moment, they knew that whatever challenges lay ahead, they would face them together. And that was all that mattered.

The night passed peacefully, and as morning light filtered through the curtains, Dai and Shun woke up slowly, still wrapped in each other's embrace. They smiled at each other, their hearts full of love and the promise of a new day, ready to face whatever came their way-together.
