Dai stirred awake, eyes fluttering open to the soft light filtering in through the curtains. He let out a small yawn, rubbing his face before turning to his side, only to find Shun lying next to him. What caught his attention, though, was the serene, blissful smile on Shun’s face. It wasn’t every day that Dai got to see his boyfriend so peaceful, especially with the hectic days they’d been having lately.

A gentle laugh escaped Dai's lips. *What could he be dreaming about?* He reached over carefully, brushing a few strands of hair away from Shun's forehead, admiring his sleeping beauty.

As if sensing Dai’s presence, Shun stirred, his eyelids fluttering as he slowly woke up. His eyes met Dai’s, and a sleepy smile tugged at the corner of his lips.

“Mmm… morning,” Shun mumbled, still half-asleep.

“Morning,” Dai replied, his voice soft. He couldn’t help but smile at Shun’s adorable drowsiness. “You were smiling in your sleep. What were you dreaming about?”

Shun blinked, his cheeks turning a soft shade of pink as he realized what Dai was asking. “Take a guess,” he teased, stretching slightly under the covers.

Dai tilted his head, narrowing his eyes playfully. “Did we… do something in your dream?” He waggled his eyebrows suggestively, clearly enjoying the teasing.

Shun’s blush deepened, and he let out a shy laugh. “No, not that… well, kind of,” he muttered, looking away for a second before meeting Dai’s gaze again. “We… we got married.”

Dai’s teasing smirk softened into something more genuine. “Married?” His heart warmed at the idea, and he couldn’t help but feel a rush of affection for the man in front of him. “Tell me more.”

Shun bit his lip, embarrassed, but continued. “We booked this huge hotel room with the most beautiful view. You were sitting on the bed, looking so happy… and I was walking toward you. But then, right as I was about to… I felt your hand.” He smiled sheepishly. “And that’s when I woke up.”

Dai’s eyes lit up with mischief as he suddenly leaned over, positioning himself on top of Shun. He gently pinned Shun's wrists to the bed, locking him in his embrace. “How about we continue your dream now?” Dai’s voice was low, teasing, but with a hint of seriousness behind it.

Shun's eyes widened slightly before he broke into a laugh, shaking his head. “I think someone has to submit his assignment today,” he quipped, a cheeky grin on his face.

Dai’s playful expression dropped instantly, replaced by a sulky pout. “We’ll continue this tonight,” he grumbled, rolling off of Shun and running a hand through his hair. “Ugh, I need to get ready.”

Shun chuckled, watching as Dai dramatically threw off the covers and headed to the bathroom.

While Dai was freshening up, Shun slipped out of bed and headed to the kitchen, humming to himself as he prepared breakfast. He had just finished plating when Dai emerged, fully dressed but clearly in a hurry.

“Come here, let me feed you,” Shun said, carrying a plate of eggs and toast to where Dai was scrambling to get his bag together. Dai looked at him with an apologetic smile, but Shun held up a piece of toast and gently brought it to his mouth.

Dai bit into it, smiling as he chewed. “You’re spoiling me,” he said through a mouthful.

“You spoil me every day,” Shun replied, leaning in to press a kiss to Dai’s lips, soft and lingering. “See you tonight?”

Dai returned the kiss, his lips brushing against Shun’s cheek as he pulled away. “Tonight. For sure.”

After Dai left, the apartment felt quieter, the energy shifting to something calmer. Shun cleaned up the kitchen, took a quick shower, and settled into his workspace, headphones on and fingers dancing across his laptop as he worked on a new music piece he’d started earlier in the week. The melody was flowing, light and hopeful, a reflection of the contentment he felt.
