The days grew shorter as the end of the semester loomed, and the inevitable weight of exams settled over the students like a thick fog. For Shun, the days leading up to the exams were a time of peace and focus. He had always been the studious type, able to immerse himself in his books and notes, blocking out the rest of the world. His desk was neatly organized, a cup of tea steaming at the edge, and soft music playing in the background, creating an ambiance of serenity.

But that serenity was soon disrupted by the restless presence of Dai. Shun looked up from his notes to find Dai pacing back and forth across the room, his brows furrowed in frustration. Shun tilted his head slightly, curious and concerned.

"Dai," Shun called softly, his voice cutting through the tension. "What's wrong? Why are you pacing around like that?"

Dai paused mid-step, turning to face Shun with a sheepish expression. He ran a hand through his hair, ruffling it in the process. "I'm just... I can't figure this stuff out," he admitted, a hint of exasperation in his tone.

Shun set his pen down and leaned back in his chair, studying Dai with a gentle smile. "Let me see," he offered, holding out his hand.

Dai hesitated for a moment before crossing the room and handing his notes to Shun. As Shun scanned the pages, his brow furrowed in concentration, Dai watched him intently, amazed at how calm and composed Shun seemed, even under the pressure of exams. Despite being from a different department, Shun's understanding of the material was immediate. He began to explain the concepts to Dai, his voice steady and patient, breaking down the complex ideas into simpler terms.

Dai listened, initially skeptical, but as Shun continued, the fog of confusion began to lift. Dai was taken aback. How was it that Shun, who was studying something entirely different, could grasp this so effortlessly? When Shun finished explaining, Dai could only stare at him in awe.

"You really understood all that?" Dai asked, disbelief mingling with admiration.

Shun nodded, smiling softly. "It's not so different from what I'm studying. Just a different perspective, that's all."

Dai felt a surge of affection for Shun, this brilliant, kind-hearted person who never hesitated to help him. Without thinking, Dai leaned in and placed a light kiss on Shun's lips, a silent thank you for his patience and support.

Shun blinked, a soft blush creeping onto his cheeks, but he didn't protest. Instead, he watched as Dai, now more confident, returned to his own desk and dived back into his studies with renewed vigor. The rest of the night passed quietly, the air between them filled with unspoken understanding and companionship as they prepared for their exams

** Two Weeks Later **

The tension that had gripped the campus for the past two weeks finally dissipated as the last exam was completed. Students poured out of the exam halls, their expressions a mix of exhaustion and relief. Among them were Dai and his friends, who gathered outside, the weight of their exams lifting from their shoulders like a heavy burden finally cast aside.

"Finally, the exams are over!" Kenji exclaimed, throwing his hands into the air dramatically. His face was lit with a grin, the relief evident in his every gesture.

Dai laughed, feeling a similar lightness. "And from tomorrow, it's summer break!" he said, the excitement clear in his voice. "I'm gonna enjoy it to the fullest."

Kenji nodded enthusiastically. "Me too! I'm going home, and I'm not thinking about school until the very last minute," he declared, already planning his escape from academic responsibilities.

Another friend, Yuki, chimed in with a playful smirk. "I'm just gonna go home and sleep . Wake me up when the break is over."

Riku, another of their group, stretched his arms above his head, yawning widely. "I'm hitting the beach first thing. Nothing like the ocean to wash away the stress."
