Shun woke first, his head resting against Dai's chest, feeling the rhythmic rise and fall with each breath Dai took. The room was still, bathed in the soft, early morning light that filtered through the curtains. Shun lifted his head slightly, carefully so as not to wake Dai, and took a closer look at his sleeping face. Dai's features were relaxed, peaceful, the soft curve of his lips almost teasing a smile. His long eyelashes cast faint shadows on his cheeks, and Shun felt a warmth spread through his chest just looking at him.

*When did I start falling for him?* Shun wondered, his heart swelling with a tender, almost aching affection. He couldn't pinpoint the exact moment it happened, but lying here now, he knew that he had fallen deeply for this man who held him so gently, so protectively, even in his sleep.
