Megan's Pov:
(1 week later)

"Why you bein a scary-cat, hm?" I had just told Monica what happened at the ceremony. Coiya just sits at the end of my bed, giggling into her hand.

"I just find it cute." Coiya comments making Monica smack her lips.

I've missed these two so much but let me catch y'all up. Coiya is just here for the week since there was a family emergency but she'll be back on a flight to Washington D.C in no time.

Spoiler Alert: Deon and Coiya broke up.

Well, what you people call it a break.

The distance was creating tension and it exploded in the most calming way possible. They still do couple things when they see each other, but when the other gone, they got someone else in their arms. It was their agreement. Toxic but they both getting some candy.

Monica got with her mystery man, Jonah, a couple of months ago, and the nigga already proposed. He has everything planned out, and I mean he wrote down everything on this huge piece of paper of how he wants things to go in order. He's getting ready to graduate next semester so he can start working then save money to build... Yes, BUILD them a house then have their wedding then when Monica graduates she decides what she wants to do.

All in all, Monica is happy and spoiled. That ring on her finger shines brighter than any diamond I know.

"I wasn't bein a scary-cat. I didn't want to be the middle man of a scene. That's all." I shrug my shoulders. Even if Shawn's intentions were to see Jeremy, how was Rebecca to know that? We weren't even supposed to be there to begin with and I can't imagine how they felt when they saw US there.

"How was it?" Monica wanted all the details since she couldn't make it. Her and Coiya lay on my bed listening to me just like we used to in high school.

"It was beautiful as much it could be."

"Was hard going back?" Coiya asks. Shawn mentioned to Deon some time this week that he thought I was brave to come back.

The fuck.

I wasn't going to let these niggas scare me off to begin with... Had it been up to me.

But let me be realistic.

"It was..." I'm not sure I have a word for it. "I had time to process in the car."

"Welp. That's all that matters." Monica pats my arms then hops out my bed.

"What's the rush?" I ask my best friend, leaning back on my arms, smirking. She's dressed cute and not a single wrinkle on her clothes after just laying on them. There's some business that requires her attendance.

"Jonah is taking me out to the museum and then a nice dinner. I have a 6th sense when he's near."

"He's comin to get you from here?" I slide out my bed, then put my shoes on.

"Si." Mónica slides her feet into some heels with a cute bow on the front of it.

"Aw, I just love seein you so happy." And I mean that. I don't remember a time she has looked sad since she met him. She's in love but in a real love.

"Gracias, chica." She shoots me a wink. Coiya gets up to help the soon-to-be-married fix herself in my mirror.

"Monica, your fiance here!" Nana yells throughout the house. It's weird that she just felt that he was near.

"Hey, Nana, cómo estás?" His Ecuadorian accent is thick but sounds very smooth.

"Buen y tú?" Even though Nana responded in a ghetto accent, Jonah laughed a bit and answered.
