Megan's Pov:

"Megan, you need to fill out this application and have it turned in before your trip."

"I already sent one in earlier."

"It got lost so do another one." I have to bite my tongue to not talk back. This has been testing my patience for the last few days.

"Yes, ma'am." I turn back in my seat and print myself another application for my project that I'm starting in the middle of next week.

The new school year has started, and my sophomore project has been sent to me. I get to observe the the scientist who work in isolated areas on how climate change is starting to take affect on the earth. I was a science geek so I'm excited about learning about this.

"Be sure to have your luggage pack and toiletries. You'll be staying in camp houses or tents so it's important you have everything from that list Dr. McAdam's sent you."

"Got it." I write down my notes.

"You and Joshua will take bus 457 all the way to the camp site, and the Dr should meet you there."

"Okay."

"Okay, that's all I have for you."

"Thank you."

"Okay, I'm going to go over the schedule for next week then you are dismissed. Cameron and Katie, you are to leave Monday morning, Daniel, Martin, Chad, and Chadwick on Tuesday night, and Megan, Joshua, Howard, and Henry are to leave Wednesday morning, Beatrice and Yolanda catch your flight Thursday evening, and no one is posted to go Friday. Everyone got that?"

"Yes." The class speaks together.

"Okay, for the rest whose project is not next week, there will still be class for you, and please do come on time. You're dismissed."

I couldn't pack my bags any faster and get out of here. There's footsteps running behind me so I know my friend is trying to catch me.

"MG, where you want to meet after class?" Joshua walks beside me even though his next class is the opposite direction

"We can go to the Relost Cafe." I shrug my shoulders. Not really in the mood to hang out so I can do another application. I'm making 3 so there's no chance of them getting 'lost'. I know if I can't go someone else takes my spot, and this is the perfect project for me so there's no way I'm missing this one.

"If you don't feel up to hangin out today, we can just meet on another day."

"Thank you."

"No problem, baby girl." Joshua hops in front of me smiling bright with his pretty white teeth, and nose piercing to match. He so fine, but not for my kind. He don't gotta tell me, I can tell he got some sugar in his tank.

"We can meet later today, just Imma be in the library printing out that application and fillin it out."

"I'll be there."

"Okay."

"Aight, I got class. See you later, boo." He shoots me a wink before walking away from me. I watch him walk, and you can't tell me that he salty.

I walk the corridors to the library so I can print out these papers. The library here is my favorite spot because of the designs and shelves after shelves of books. It's beautiful in here.

"That's how easy love can be." I sing to myself putting my hard drive in to the computer then sending my file to the printer.

Miradine University is exactly what I envisioned it to be. I have met bad apples and good apples, and that's what makes it easier to get through the day. I have made friends here hence Joshua, and even frenemies who makes my day entertaining.
