"Though the only difference between you and Trey so far is that..." I lean by his ear to whisper. "I've fucked him before." I even kiss his ear just cause I love messing with him. He turns red but for a whole nother reason.
"I know you're tryna get...
"Nah, girl. I've been likin you for some time now. You been too busy chasin the white boy." Trey lays on the locker next to mine trying to convince me to go out with him. Typical, he brought up Shawn since it's been a few months since he moved back home.
"First of all, I ain't been chasin no one. Second of all, I don't know Trey, Deon would be pissed." I close my locker and he slides right in front of it so we can look at each other since the first time he approached me for this conversation.
"It can be our little secret." He gives me a flirty smile. "Plus, I seen how you've been feelin me." I roll my eyes jokingly at him as I start to head to the front door as school is out now.
"Must've been seein things." I say from behind my shoulder.
"Aww, just give me a chance to impress you." He gently takes my arm and walks in front of me. "I ain't on that stuff no mo, so I think we can work. Let me take you out and-"
"How you gon do that if we a secret?"
"I'll bring the date to you. I know where yo window is at, and you know where mine is at."
"I'll think about it."

"I'll wait on you as long as I have to."
And that's how it started.
3 weeks of us secretly meeting and going out by ourselves without Deon or Monica. Me sneaking into his window to hang out and reading his comic books, or him sneaking into mine just to talk and hang out. We weren't together officially yet but it definitely felt fun.
He was putting his hardest trying to win me over, and it was working. I was liking his attention, and he was making me forget the feelings I had on Shawn. All his attention was on me, and it felt nice.
He hasn't even put his hands on me or made me uncomfortable. We taking everything slow. We've held hands and have laid on the same bed but never anything past that. I do like him, and he's sweet with me. He always have been, these days extra.
"I think I better get back home." I roll off his bed and start to put my shoes back on.
"Yeah, it's late. I'll walk you."
"It's okay. Deon at my house cause his parents went out tonight."
"Oh okay."
"Okay." We stand in the middle of his room looking like two bubbly idiots smiling at each other. This had been a fun night and can say confidently that we enjoyed it.
Finally getting out our heads, Trey helps me climb out his window until both my feet are secured on the grass. I don't leave yet as he still hasn't let my hand go. For now, we are once again looking at each other through the open window this time.
