2024, Raizen's POV
"Hi, Zen! Congrats about the game, I heard Crestwood won." Aly, my vice president, greeted me pagpasok ko ng office.
I smiled at her, "Thank you, Aly."
"Where are the papers that need my signature?" I added. I'm not even sure why I asked that eh ang dami ng na sa desk ko.
"We also need the signature of the Dean from the College of Law para ma-approve yung events next sem—"
"Where's the COL's governor? Isn't that her responsibility?" I asked as calmly as possible.
What frustrates me most is being asked to do someone else's job. I hate being taken advantage of but hindi ako pwedeng mag-no because it would only make me the 'kontrabida'.
Eventually, ako pa rin ang nag-meet with the Dean of COL to get the damn signature. Fucking hell.
"Raizen? Bakit nandito ka? You had a game, right?" Lowee asked when we bumped into each other outside the COL's faculty.
I had to roll my eyes internally. He's the COL's vice governor but parang he's having the best stroll of his life pa.
"Yeah, it's done anyway. I have to fulfill my duty now." I tried so hard not to sound rude. "Where's your gov?"
"Ah, her? I'm not sure."
Vice governor who doesn't know where his governor is. Fucking great. They're supposed to be working together.
Lowee has been my friend since grade school and nakakainis lang how I can't show my frustrations with him kasi baka he would take it personally against me.
I went back to the office to continue with my work. My body's aching and I only realized it nung 7pm na and I'm free from my duty.
But shit, I can't leave yet.
When my friends decided na tumambay sa library, I had to go with them. I'm so tired pero I can't go home nang 'di nag-aaral.
"Fuck, what time training tomorrow?" Nash asked. Kami na lang naiwan, Lowee and Alec left na pala.
"We have strength and conditioning from seven to eight-thirty in the morning." I calmly replied, still not moving my eyes from my readings.
Now that I've said it, I realized na maaga pa ako tomorrow. But I can't stop studying now, I have recitation din. Why am I not naturally born smart kasi? Nakakainis.
"Aren't you going to rest? Want me to send you home?" Nash offered.
"Thanks, pero I still have to study. You should go though, ingat ka." I smiled to assure him that I'll be fine.
He doesn't look like he's convinced but umalis na rin siya eventually. Who actually wants to stay at the library until 10? Ako lang ata.
It's fucking hell week, finals na for the first semester but I also have a graded recitation to prepare for. Plus, it's UMAA season so hectic ang training namin. Have I mentioned na I'm the team captain this year? That I'm the assigned student government President?
