The car ride away from the party was quiet. Abigail, Selena, and their boyfriends were in one vehicle, while Taylor and Travis followed in his car. The night air was cool and refreshing, a stark contrast to the heated atmosphere of the party they had left behind. The city lights flickered through the windows as they drove.
Taylor was silent for a while, lost in thought. Travis glanced over occasionally, his concern evident. When they reached a quiet park, Abigail suggested they all hang out there for a while, a spontaneous idea meant to salvage the night. Taylor agreed, her mood lifting slightly at the thought of continuing the evening with friends.
They parked near a secluded area of the park where a small bonfire pit was set up. The group gathered around, and Travis made sure Taylor was comfortably settled on a blanket near the fire. He noticed her glancing around with a hint of unease and quickly retrieved a bottle of water for her.
The group relaxed into the evening, chatting and enjoying the warmth of the fire. As the hours passed, the mood shifted. Abigail and Selena started to pass around a few bottles of alcohol, trying to make the best of the situation. Taylor, feeling emboldened by the relaxed setting, accepted a drink from Selena with a cheerful smile.
"Come on, Taylor! It's a party night," Selena urged, handing her a cup.
Taylor took a sip, the liquid burning pleasantly as it went down. She felt the initial buzz of the alcohol and smiled, her cheeks flushing with warmth. "Yeah, why not?" she said, feeling a bit more carefree.
As the evening progressed, Taylor's drinks became more frequent. She started to lose her inhibitions, her laughter growing louder and more carefree. Her movements became less steady, and she clung to Travis more as if seeking reassurance. Travis, sober and attentive, watched her carefully, his concern growing as her state became increasingly evident.
"Hey, Travis," Taylor said, leaning heavily against him. "I'm really glad you're here. You're the best."
Travis chuckled, smiling down at her. "Just making sure you're alright princess."
Selena, sensing Taylor's mood, handed her another drink. Taylor accepted it with a giggly laugh, holding the cup with both hands and taking a large sip. The alcohol made her cheeks flush, and she started to feel the warmth spread through her limbs.
As the night progressed, Taylor's behavior became more unrestrained. She wobbled a bit as she walked, her laughter louder and more frequent. She started to sit closer to Travis, leaning into him more often. At one point, she moved to sit on his lap, her legs draped over one of his and her head resting against his shoulder.
"Travis," she murmured, her voice soft and breathy, "I really, really like being here with you. And... I really like it when you call me 'princess.' It turns me on, you know."
Travis, slightly taken aback but trying to stay composed, chuckled softly. "Is that so? Well, I'm glad to know."
Abigail and Selena exchanged amused glances, their laughter bubbling up. "Well, that's a new one," Abigail teased. "I guess Travis has found a new nickname that works."
Selena giggled, nudging Abigail. "Looks like Taylor's definitely having a night to remember. Just be careful, Travis. She might expect you to keep calling her that all the time now."
Taylor, her eyes half closed and her expression dreamy, responded with a playful pout. "I really do like it, though. It makes me feel... special."
Travis smiled, his tone affectionate. "I'll keep that in mind babygirl."
