Taylor settled into her seat in English class, her eyes darting to the clock on the wall. Ever since what had happened with Travis during the game night, her thoughts had been in a constant swirl, making it hard to focus on anything else.

Travis walked in just before the bell rang, shooting her a quick smile as he took his seat a few rows behind her. The class was buzzing with the usual pre lesson chatter, but Taylor noticed a few lingering glances thrown her way. She tried to ignore them, focusing on the textbook in front of her, but the feeling of unease was hard to shake.

As the teacher, began her lecture, Taylor found herself relaxing a little. The familiar rhythm of the lesson was a welcome distraction. But just as she was beginning to focus, she felt something hit the back of her head. She turned around, only to find a crumpled piece of paper on the floor near her chair.

Confused, she reached down to pick it up, her heart sinking when she saw David smirking at her from across the room. She glanced around to see if anyone else had noticed, but the other students seemed engrossed in their notes. With a sinking feeling, she unfolded the note.

We saw you and Travis making out in the library last time. How about we tell the principal?

Her blood ran cold. She looked up at David, who was now whispering something to Kayla. Kayla's eyes met Taylor's, and the look of pure malice sent a shiver down her spine.

Mrs. Collins continued teaching, oblivious to the brewing storm in her classroom.

Taylor's thoughts raced. Did they really see them? Were they just bluffing? Either way, the fear that this could get out in the worst way possible began to claw at her. She turned her attention back to the front, determined to ignore them, but her heart wouldn't stop pounding.

A few minutes passed before something else hit her desk, another note, this one folded more neatly. Hesitantly, Taylor opened it, her hands trembling slightly.

Better watch out, Taylor. You and Travis aren't as sneaky as you think.

Her breath hitched. She could feel her face heating up, panic rising in her chest. What were they planning? She stole a glance back at Travis, who looked just as confused as she was. He raised an eyebrow, mouthing, "What's wrong?"

She shook her head slightly, not wanting to draw more attention, but before she could process anything further, Kayla's hand shot up.

"Mrs. Collins," Kayla called out, her voice saccharine sweet. "I think Taylor and Travis have something they'd like to share with the class."

Mrs. Collins, clearly caught off guard, paused her lecture. "Excuse me?"

Taylor's stomach dropped. She felt like the walls were closing in on her, the eyes of every student in the room suddenly glued to her.

"Come on, Taylor," David chimed in, his voice dripping with mock innocence. "Don't be shy."

Taylor froze, every muscle in her body tense. She wanted to disappear, to sink into the floor and never come back. But before she could react, Travis stood up, his expression hardening.

"What's your problem, David?" Travis's voice was low, but there was a dangerous edge to it.

The room went dead silent. Mrs. Collins looked back and forth between them, clearly unsure of how to handle the situation. "Both of you, sit down right now," she ordered, but her voice lacked authority.

"Oh, no problem," David said with a grin. "Just thought everyone should know how close you two got this weekend."

Laughter erupted from a few corners of the room, but Taylor couldn't find it in herself to look anywhere but at Travis. He looked furious, his fists clenched at his sides.
