Chapter 6: The Concert Surprise
The morning after Jimin’s interview at Suga Management Agency, he couldn’t shake the nervous anticipation that clung to him like a shadow. His thoughts were constantly drifting back to the questions Ms. Park had asked, replaying his answers and wondering if they were good enough. He’d done everything he could to make a strong impression, but now, all he could do was wait.
The day at his graphic design job passed in a blur. His concentration was nowhere to be found, and by the time the evening rolled around, Jimin was more than ready to call it a day. He had just finished a particularly challenging project when his phone buzzed with a message from Jungkook.
**Jungkook:** “Yo, Jiminie! Guess what? I got VIP passes to J-Hope’s concert tonight! 🎉 Wanna come with Tae and me? We’re leaving around 7 PM.”
Jimin’s heart skipped a beat as he read the message. *J-Hope’s concert?* Jimin was a huge fan of J-Hope, one of the most famous K-pop idols in the world. He’d admired his work from afar for years, and the idea of seeing him perform live was something Jimin had only ever dreamed of.
**Jimin:** “Are you serious, Kookie? VIP passes?! How did you even get those? 😳”
**Jungkook:** “My dad pulled some strings, you know how he is. 😉 But Tae insists you come with us. You’re not saying no, right?”
Jimin felt a rush of excitement but also a twinge of nervousness. He knew he needed a distraction after the intense interview, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. Plus, how could he possibly say no to a VIP concert experience?
**Jimin:** “Of course, I’m coming! I’ll be ready by 7. Thank you so much for inviting me. I owe you big time!”
**Jungkook:** “No worries! It’ll be fun. Can’t wait to see your reaction when you’re in the front row, haha.”
The rest of the afternoon felt like a whirlwind as Jimin hurried home, rummaging through his closet for the perfect outfit. He wanted to look good but also be comfortable enough to enjoy the night. He settled on a stylish yet casual look: black skinny jeans, a simple white T-shirt, and a leather jacket to complete the ensemble.
As the clock neared 7 PM, Jimin made his way to Jungkook and Taehyung’s apartment. When he arrived, he found the door slightly ajar. He knocked lightly before stepping inside.
“Guys?” Jimin called out as he entered, unsure if he should just walk in.
The moment he stepped into the living room, he was greeted by the sight of Taehyung and Jungkook in the middle of a playful, romantic moment. Taehyung had his arms wrapped around Jungkook’s waist, their faces close as they whispered sweet nothings to each other.
Jimin’s face flushed as he quickly turned away, covering his eyes with his hand. “Oh my god, seriously? Get a room, you two!”
Jungkook laughed, pulling away from Taehyung just enough to glance over at Jimin. “Aww, Jiminie, don’t be shy! We were just having a moment before the big night.”
Taehyung, ever the tease, grinned and said, “You’re just jealous, aren’t you? Poor Jimin, all alone while we’re over here being adorable.”
Jimin lowered his hand and gave them both a playful glare. “I’m not jealous. I’m just... I don’t know, trying to protect my eyes from too much cuteness or something.”
Jungkook rolled his eyes but couldn’t hide his smile. “Yeah, yeah. Anyway, are you ready for the concert? I bet you’ve never been this close to J-Hope before.”
