Chapter - 28

Yoongi’s expression softened with relief, a small smile tugging at his lips. “Thank you, Jimin. You don’t know how much that means to me.”

Jimin chuckled, shaking his head slightly. “I think I do, hyung. And… thank you, for looking out for me. I really appreciate it.”

Yoongi leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to Jimin’s forehead, his heart swelling with affection. “You mean a lot to me, Jimin. I want to take care of you, in any way I can.”

Jimin’s heart skipped a beat at Yoongi’s words, and he couldn’t help the wide smile that spread across his face. “You already do, Yoongi. More than you know.”

Yoongi pulled Jimin into a tight hug, resting his chin on top of Jimin’s head. “I’m glad you’re staying with me. I don’t want to lose you, not now, not ever.”

Jimin hugged Yoongi back just as tightly, feeling a sense of contentment wash over him. “You won’t, hyung. I’m not going anywhere.”

They stayed like that for a long moment, just holding each other, letting the weight of the decision settle. For the first time in a long time, Yoongi felt like everything was falling into place, like he was finally on the right path. And with Jimin by his side, he knew that whatever challenges came their way, they would face them together.

When they finally pulled apart, Jimin looked up at Yoongi with a playful grin. “So, does this mean I get to boss you around now that I’m your full-time assistant?”

Yoongi laughed, shaking his head. “Don’t push your luck, Park Jimin. I’m still the boss around here.”

Jimin pouted playfully, but there was a sparkle in his eyes that made Yoongi’s heart skip a beat. “Fine, but only because I like you, Min Yoongi.”

Yoongi smirked, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Jimin’s lips. “I like you too, Park Jimin. More than you know.”

Jimin blushed, his heart fluttering at Yoongi’s words. “I think I’m starting to figure that out.”

With their arms still around each other, they both knew that they were entering a new chapter in their lives. One that was filled with uncertainty, but also with hope, with love, and with the promise of something beautiful. Together, they would face whatever came their way, knowing that as long as they had each other, they could overcome anything.

The following evening, the atmosphere in Yoongi's apartment was warm and relaxed. The two of them had finished dinner and were now nestled comfortably on the couch, a soft blanket draped over their legs. The lights were dim, and the only sound in the room was the low hum of the movie they were watching.

Jimin, however, wasn’t entirely focused on the screen. His mind kept wandering back to the conversation he knew he had to have with Yoongi. He glanced at Yoongi, who was leaning back, his arm resting casually along the back of the couch. Jimin bit his lip, gathering the courage to speak.

"Hyung," Jimin began softly, shifting slightly to face Yoongi.

Yoongi turned his head, his eyes meeting Jimin’s with a calm, curious gaze. “Yeah?”

“There’s something I’ve been wanting to ask you,” Jimin continued, his voice hesitant.

Yoongi’s brow furrowed slightly in concern. “What is it, Jimin-ah? You can ask me anything, you know that.”

Jimin nodded, taking a deep breath before speaking. “Well… you know how we’ve been talking about moving forward and letting go of the past?”

Yoongi nodded, his expression still curious but now tinged with understanding. “Yeah, I remember.”

Jimin shifted a bit closer, his hand reaching out to rest on Yoongi’s knee. “

Jimin's touch was gentle but firm, grounding him in the moment. "I want us to be open with each other about everything, even the things that might be hard to talk about."

Yoongi's gaze softened. He could sense where this was heading, and a mix of emotions swirled within him. He nodded, encouraging Jimin to continue.

Taking another deep breath, Jimin looked directly into Yoongi’s eyes. “Hyung, there’s something I’ve been wanting to do… something important to me. J-Hope—Hobi’s having a concert in two days, and… I want you to come with me.”

Yoongi stiffened slightly at the mention of J-Hope's name, his expression briefly clouding with uncertainty. He looked away for a moment, as if gathering his thoughts. “Jimin… I don’t know if that’s a good idea,” he murmured, his voice tinged with hesitation.

Jimin’s grip on Yoongi’s knee tightened just a bit, his eyes pleading. “I know it’s not easy for you, Yoongi, but I think it could help. I want you to come with me, not just because I’m a fan, but because I want us to face this together. I want you to leave the past behind for real. And I’ll be right there with you.”

Yoongi’s heart ached at Jimin’s words. He knew Jimin meant well, but the thought of confronting his past, especially with J-Hope, was something he had avoided for so long. But the sincerity in Jimin’s eyes made him pause. This wasn’t just about the concert; it was about them, about moving forward together.

After what felt like an eternity, Yoongi finally spoke, his voice low but steady. “Jimin-ah… it’s not that I don’t want to go. It’s just… I haven’t seen Hobi in years. And the last time we parted, it wasn’t exactly on good terms. I’m scared, to be honest.”

Jimin squeezed Yoongi’s knee gently, offering silent support. “I know, hyung. But you’re not alone in this. You have me now, and we can face it together. And besides… it’s just one concert. You don’t have to talk to him if you don’t want to. Just… be there with me.”

Yoongi sighed, the tension in his shoulders slowly melting away as he looked at Jimin’s earnest expression. He knew Jimin was right. Maybe this was the closure he needed, the final step to truly move on and embrace the future.

After a moment of silence, Yoongi gave a small nod. “Okay,” he said quietly. “I’ll go with you.”

Jimin’s face lit up with a bright smile, his eyes sparkling with happiness. Without thinking, he threw his arms around Yoongi, pulling him into a tight hug. “Thank you, hyung! You don’t know how much this means to me.”

Yoongi chuckled softly, wrapping his arms around Jimin in return. The warmth of Jimin’s embrace seeped into him, easing the lingering doubts in his mind. “I’ll do it for you, Jimin-ah. And maybe… maybe for myself too.”

Jimin pulled back slightly, just enough to look at Yoongi’s face, their foreheads almost touching. “We’ll get through this together,” he whispered, his voice filled with conviction.

Yoongi nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Together,” he agreed, feeling a sense of peace settle over him.

Jimin’s smile widened, and in that moment, the weight of the past didn’t seem so heavy anymore. They sat there for a while longer, wrapped in each other’s arms, the movie long forgotten. All that mattered was that they had each other, and with that, they could face anything—even the ghosts of Yoongi’s past.

As the night grew darker, they remained close, knowing that in two days, they would be taking a significant step forward in their relationship. And for the first time in a long while, Yoongi felt like he was ready to face whatever came next, as long as Jimin was by his side.
