Chapter - 32 Morning Romance!
Early Morning at Jimin's Apartment;
The first light of dawn was beginning to see through the thin curtains of Jimin’s cozy apartment.
Inside, the atmosphere was warm and intimate. Taehyung and Jungkook, who had spent the night with Jimin and Yoongi, were getting ready to leave.
The two were playfully bickering about who had more blankets last night as they slipped on their shoes by the door.
Jimin watched them with a small smile, feeling a sense of peace and contentment.
Despite the chaos that often surrounded them, moments like these with his closest friends and the man he loved made everything worth it.
“Alright, we’re heading out, Jiminie,” Taehyung said, pulling Jimin into a tight hug. “Make sure to take care of yourself, okay?”
Jungkook followed suit, wrapping Jimin in an equally warm embrace. “Yeah, don’t overwork yourself. We’ll catch up later this week.”
Jimin chuckled softly as he squeezed them both. “I will, I promise. And you two, don’t fight too much, okay? You’re already like an old married couple.”
Taehyung grinned, nudging Jungkook playfully. “He’s the one who hogs all the blankets!”
“Me? You were the one kicking me all night!” Jungkook retorted with a laugh.
Jimin shook his head, amused by their antics. “Alright, alright. Get out of here before you start another round.”
The three shared a final laugh before Jimin opened the door, watching as Taehyung and Jungkook stepped out into the crisp morning air.
They turned back to wave at him one last time before disappearing down the hallway.
Jimin closed the door behind them, the soft click echoing in the quiet apartment. He leaned against the door for a moment, letting out a contented sigh. The morning was serene, the kind of peacefulness that lingered after a night of love and laughter.
As Jimin turned away from the door, he caught sight of something that made his heart flutter—a glimpse of Yoongi moving about in his small kitchen, busy with preparing breakfast.
The sight was domestic, almost surreal in its simplicity. Yoongi, with his sleeves rolled up, was focused on whatever he was cooking, his movements precise and fluid.
Jimin couldn’t help the smile that tugged at his lips. The sight of Yoongi in his kitchen, so comfortable and at ease, filled him with warmth.
It was a side of Yoongi that not many got to see, and Jimin felt incredibly lucky to witness it.
Without a second thought, Jimin quietly walked over to where Yoongi stood. The older man didn’t seem to notice his approach, too engrossed in his task. Jimin wrapped his arms around Yoongi’s waist from behind, pressing himself against Yoongi’s back and resting his chin on his shoulder.
“Good morning,” Jimin whispered, his voice soft and full of affection.
Yoongi froze for a moment, surprised by the sudden contact, but then he relaxed into the embrace, a blush creeping up his neck.
He could feel Jimin’s warmth seeping into him, and the gentle kiss Jimin placed on his nape sent a pleasant shiver down his spine.
“Morning,” Yoongi replied, his voice slightly hushed, as if speaking too loudly might break the tender moment.
Jimin smiled against Yoongi’s skin, feeling the slight tremor in Yoongi’s body. “What are you making?” he asked, his lips brushing against Yoongi’s nape as he spoke.
Yoongi cleared his throat, trying to steady himself. “Just some breakfast… eggs, toast…sandwich the usual,” he mumbled, suddenly very aware of how close Jimin was.
Jimin hummed in approval, tightening his hold around Yoongi’s waist. “Sounds perfect. But you didn’t have to get up and cook, you know.”
Yoongi shrugged slightly, his hands continuing to move, albeit a bit more clumsily under Jimin’s touch. “I wanted to. Besides, you looked tired, so I thought I’d let you rest a bit longer.”
Jimin’s heart swelled at Yoongi’s thoughtfulness. He pressed another kiss to Yoongi’s nape, lingering there for a moment. “You’re too good to me,” he murmured.
Yoongi’s blush deepened, though he tried to hide it by focusing on the task at hand. “It’s nothing. Just… something small.”
Jimin chuckled softly, sensing Yoongi’s embarrassment. He loved this side of Yoongi—the side that was tender and caring, even if Yoongi tried to downplay it.
“Well, I appreciate it,” Jimin said, his voice laced with affection. “But you know, I don’t need grand gestures. Just being with you like this… it’s more than enough for me.”
Yoongi paused for a moment, letting Jimin’s words sink in. He hadn’t always been the best at expressing his feelings, but with Jimin, it felt natural—like he didn’t have to pretend to be anything other than who he was.
“Jimin,” Yoongi began, his voice uncharacteristically soft, “I… I want to do better. For you. You make me want to be better.”
Jimin’s heart skipped a beat at the sincerity in Yoongi’s voice. He nuzzled Yoongi’s shoulder, his heart brimming with love for the man in his arms. “You’re already more than enough, Yoongi,” he whispered. “Just… stay with me. That’s all I need.”
Yoongi turned his head slightly, just enough to catch a glimpse of Jimin out of the corner of his eye. “I’m not going anywhere,” he said, his tone firm yet tender.
Jimin smiled brightly, his grip around Yoongi tightening momentarily. “Good,” he said, his voice light and playful. “Because I’m not letting you go.”
