Chapter - 17 Unconscious in Heavy Rain!

Yoongi stood on his apartment balcony, the heavy rain beating against the glass as he watched Jimin walking alone in the downpour. The sight was haunting. Jimin trudged along, each step slow and labored, his shoulders hunched against the cold rain. The heavy storm seemed to echo the turmoil inside Yoongi’s heart.

Yoongi frowned as he observed Jimin walking in that heavy rain.

Yoongi (in mind) - "Why isn’t he taking his car? He’s got one; I know he does. And why is he out there in this awful weather?"

Yoongi’s thoughts raced, his emotions a whirlwind of concern and regret. He could barely make out Jimin’s silhouette through the torrential rain, and he felt a pang of guilt at the sight of him so vulnerable, so alone.

Despite the turmoil within him, Yoongi tried to push aside his rising feelings. He turned to head back inside, hoping to leave Jimin's pain behind him. But just as he closed the door, he heard a loud, unmistakable thud from below. Yoongi’s heart skipped a beat.

He rushed back to the balcony, peering down through the heavy rain. His eyes widened in horror as he saw Jimin lying motionless on the ground. Yoongi's blood ran cold. “No, no, no, Jimin...” he muttered under his breath, panic clawing at his chest.

Without a second thought, Yoongi bolted down the stairs, his heart racing with each step. He felt like time was slipping away, each second stretching into an eternity as he rushed to Jimin’s side. The rain continued to pour down, soaking him to the bone, but he barely noticed as he reached Jimin’s side.

“Jimin!” Yoongi called out urgently, kneeling beside him. He gently shook Jimin, his voice trembling. “Jimin, wake up! Please, wake up!”

Jimin’s eyes remained closed, his breathing shallow and labored. Yoongi’s hands trembled as he tried to rouse him, his mind a jumbled mess of fear and guilt.

Yoongi to himself - "Why didn’t I stop him? Why didn’t I bring him back inside?"

Yoongi's thoughts were frantic. What if something happened to him? What if I never get the chance to make things right? He felt a wave of despair wash over him. He had never seen Jimin so vulnerable, so broken. The storm outside was nothing compared to the storm inside him.

“Come on, Jimin, wake up!” Yoongi’s voice cracked as he spoke, his desperation palpable. He placed his hand on Jimin’s forehead, feeling the cold, clammy skin. “Jimin, please. I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to push you away. Just wake up.”

The rain continued to pelt down, drenching them both. Yoongi’s clothes were soaked through, but he didn’t care. His focus was solely on Jimin, on making sure he was alright. The rain mixed with the tears that began to form in Yoongi’s eyes.

Jimin’s face was serene despite the situation, a stark contrast to the chaos Yoongi was feeling. “Why did you have to go out there?” Yoongi whispered, his voice breaking. “Why didn’t you stay? I— I should have stopped you. I should have said something. I should have…”

Yoongi’s thoughts raced as he tried to recall what he had learned about first aid. He needed to keep Jimin warm, make sure he was safe until help arrived. He checked Jimin’s pulse, relieved to find it faint but steady.

“Okay, okay,” Yoongi muttered to himself, trying to stay calm. “I need to get you out of this rain. Just hang on.”

He carefully lifted Jimin, cradling him in his arms despite the heavy rain soaking them both. The weight of Jimin’s unconscious body was a heavy burden, but Yoongi carried him up the stairs with a determination fueled by love, care and regret.

As they reached Yoongi’s apartment, he kicked the door open with his foot, stumbling inside. He laid Jimin gently on the couch, quickly grabbing towels and blankets to dry him off. Yoongi’s movements were hurried but careful, his mind racing with worry.

“Come on, Jimin. You have to wake up,” Yoongi pleaded, wrapping Jimin in the warmest blankets he could find. He sat beside him, his heart aching with every shallow breath Jimin took. “Please, just wake up. I can’t lose you.”

The sound of the rain tapping against the windows seemed to punctuate Yoongi’s despair. He couldn’t believe how quickly everything had spiraled out of control. The words Jimin had said, the kiss, the rejection—it all came rushing back.

Yoongi’s heart ached as he remembered Jimin’s tear-filled eyes and the desperation in his voice. He had pushed him away when he needed him the most. Now, as he watched Jimin lying there, he realized the depth of his own feelings. The anger and frustration he felt earlier were overshadowed by a deep sense of regret and longing.

“I’m so sorry, Jimin,” Yoongi whispered, brushing a wet strand of hair from Jimin’s face. “I didn’t mean any of it. I just— I didn’t know how to handle my own feelings. I was scared, and I pushed you away. I didn’t realize how much I need you until now.”

The sound of sirens in the distance brought a small relief to Yoongi, who had been lost in his own thoughts. He could hear the paramedics approaching, their voices faint but reassuring.

“Help is on the way,” Yoongi said softly, his eyes never leaving Jimin’s face. “Just hold on a little longer.”

As the paramedics arrived and took over, Yoongi stood back, watching with a heavy heart. He felt a mixture of relief and anxiety as they checked Jimin’s condition and prepared him for transport to the hospital.

Yoongi’s gaze followed Jimin as he was carried away, his heart ached at the sight of Jimin so vulnerable and unresponsive. He felt a deep sense of helplessness and regret. “I’ll be right behind you,” Yoongi promised, his voice barely above a whisper. “I’m coming with you. I need to make sure you’re okay.”

As the paramedics left with Jimin, Yoongi took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. The rain still poured heavily outside, but for Yoongi, it was a fitting backdrop to the tumultuous emotions he felt inside. He had been given a wake-up call, and he was determined to make things right.

With one last glance at the rain-soaked balcony, Yoongi headed out the door, his mind focused solely on Jimin and making amends for the pain he had caused. The night had been a storm of emotions, but he was ready to face whatever came next.
