Chapter : 37 An Unexpected Encounter

The sun was just beginning to rise, painting the sky in soft hues of pink and orange. Taehyung and Jungkook stood at the platform of the railway station, watching Jimin clutch his bag tightly. His face was pale, his expression unreadable.

"Are you sure about this, hyung?" Taehyung asked, his voice laced with concern.

Jimin nodded stiffly, his eyes fixed on the train. "I have to do this, Tae. I need to tell my parents how I feel, no matter how hard it is."

Jungkook placed a reassuring hand on Jimin's shoulder. "We're proud of you, hyung. Just remember, we're always here for you."

Jimin gave them a weak smile. "Thank you, both of you. I'll call you when I reach."

As the train approached, Taehyung and Jungkook hugged Jimin tightly, bidding him goodbye. "Take care, Chim. And don't let anyone push you into something you don't want," Taehyung said.

Jimin boarded the train, his heart heavy with dread. He waved at his friends through the window as the train began to move.

At His Parents' House

After a long journey, Jimin finally arrived in Busan. His heart pounded as he stood outside the familiar house. Taking a deep breath, he pushed open the gate and walked in.

"Jimin-ah!" His mother's cheerful voice greeted him as she opened the door. She pulled him into a warm hug. "It's been so long since you visited. Come inside, we've been waiting for you!"

Jimin stepped inside, intending to get straight to the point about his feelings. But as he entered the living room, his breath caught in his throat.

Sitting on the couch, casually sipping tea with his parents, was none other than Yoongi.

Jimin froze in disbelief, his eyes wide as he stared at Yoongi. "What... what are you doing here?" he demanded, his voice a mix of shock and anger.

Yoongi looked up, his expression calm but his eyes betraying a hint of nervousness. "Nothing," he said with a small shrug. "I just wanted to do things right."

"Right?!" Jimin's voice rose, anger bubbling to the surface. "Everything was already right except for you! What are you even doing in my house?"

Before Yoongi could respond, Jimin's mother appeared, smiling brightly. "Jimin, don't be rude! Yoongi-ssi is such a kind person. He's your boss, right? He said he was in Busan for some work and decided to stop by to meet us-and you, of course."

"Sweet person? Him? What a joke," Jimin muttered under his breath, glaring at Yoongi.

His father joined them, clapping Yoongi on the back. "Yoongi-ssi is very polite and respectful. It's good to see that your boss cares so much about his employees."

Jimin couldn't believe what he was hearing. He turned to Yoongi, his voice sharp. "You've met my parents, now leave. You don't belong here."

Yoongi, unfazed by Jimin's anger, leaned back on the couch. "Not so fast. You took off without applying for leave, and I couldn't just let that slide. So, I thought we could go back together once you're done here."

Jimin clenched his fists, his anger reaching its peak, he came close and murmured, "Yoongi, I don't know what game you're playing, but this isn't funny. You had no right to come here!"

Yoongi met Jimin's fiery gaze with calm determination.

Yoongi is low voice, "I came because I needed to see you, Jimin. And maybe... I needed to see this part of your world, too."

"See my world?" Jimin scoffed. "You don't care about my world. You only care about pushing me away!"

Their heated exchange caught the attention of Jimin's mother, who frowned slightly. "Jimin-ah, what's the matter? Why are you being so harsh with Yoongi-ssi?"

Jimin forced a strained smile, trying to mask his frustration. "It's nothing, eomma. I'm just... surprised to see him here, that's all."

His mother didn't seem convinced but decided not to press further. "Well, Yoongi-ssi, since you're here, why don't you stay for dinner?"

Jimin's eyes widened in horror. "No!" he blurted out, earning a surprised look from his parents. "I mean... he's busy. He has work to do."

Yoongi tilted his head, a faint smirk playing on his lips. "Actually, I'd love to stay for dinner. If that's okay with you, Mrs. Park."

Jimin shot Yoongi a death glare, but his mother clapped her hands in delight. "Of course! I'll prepare something special."

At night 8 P. M.

Dinner was a tense affair. Jimin sat across from Yoongi, his jaw clenched as Yoongi charmed his parents with his quiet demeanor and polite words.

"Jimin never told us he had such a caring boss, last time his boss was a jerk , he told us thankfully he changed his job." his mother said, smiling warmly at Yoongi.

Yoongi glanced at Jimin, his eyes softening. "Jimin's an exceptional employee. I just want what's best for him."

Jimin nearly choked on his food, his anger simmering beneath the surface.

After dinner, he pulled Yoongi aside, his voice low and furious. "What are you trying to prove? That you're some saint? Because you're not. You're just making things worse for me."

Yoongi's expression turned serious. "I'm not here to make things worse, Jimin. I'm here because I care about you."

"Care?" Jimin's voice cracked, his emotions spilling over. "If you cared, you wouldn't have let me walk away. You wouldn't have told me to listen to my parents when I was begging you to fight for us."

Yoongi looked away, guilt flashing across his face. "I thought I was doing what was best for you."

"Well, you weren't," Jimin snapped, his eyes glistening with unshed tears. "And now, I don't even know what you're doing here. Just... leave me alone, Yoongi."

Yoongi opened his mouth to respond, but the words wouldn't come. He watched helplessly as Jimin walked away, his heart heavy with regret.

As Jimin returned to his room, he closed the door behind him, leaning against it with a shaky breath. His emotions were a tangled mess, but one thing was clear-his feelings for Yoongi hadn't faded, no matter how much he wished they would.

Meanwhile, Yoongi sat alone in the living room, questioning every decision he had made up to this point.

For the first time, he wondered if he had pushed Jimin too far-and if there was still a chance to make things right.
