Episode: 41 A Home with You

The train ride back to Seoul was quiet, but not uncomfortable. Jimin sat by the window, his head resting against the glass as he watched the world rush past in a blur. His mind replayed the events of the past few days—his parents' rejection, his father’s slap, the pain of walking away from the only home he had ever known.

But then he glanced sideways at Yoongi, who sat beside him, their hands intertwined. Yoongi hadn’t let go of him even for a second, holding onto him like an anchor. And despite everything, Jimin found solace in that simple touch.

Yoongi felt his gaze and turned to look at him, offering a small smile. “Almost home,” he whispered.

Jimin nodded, squeezing his hand. Home. It was no longer Busan. It was Yoongi.

---

When they reached Seoul, Yoongi didn’t let Jimin return to his apartment.

“You’re staying with me,” Yoongi said firmly, grabbing Jimin’s suitcase and walking ahead.

Jimin blinked in surprise. “But—”

“No buts.” Yoongi turned around, raising an eyebrow. “You need me right now, and I need you. So, you’re staying with me.”

Jimin’s heart clenched at the sincerity in his voice. He had lost his family, but Yoongi… Yoongi was giving him a new one.

With a soft sigh, he nodded. “Okay.”

Yoongi smiled in victory.

---

The moment they stepped inside Yoongi’s apartment, Jimin felt a strange warmth settle in his heart. It smelled like him—coffee, a hint of vanilla, and something uniquely Yoongi.

Jimin placed his bag near the couch, only for Yoongi to grab his wrist and pull him toward the bedroom.

“Take a hot shower and change into something comfortable,” Yoongi instructed. “I’ll take care of everything else.”

Jimin frowned. “Yoongi, I—”

“No arguing.” Yoongi leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead. “Just trust me.”

Jimin’s cheeks flushed, and he nodded before disappearing into the bathroom.

While Jimin was in the shower, Yoongi moved quickly, setting up everything. He wanted to bring back the light in Jimin’s eyes. He had seen too much sadness in them, and it hurt him.

So, he did what he did best—express his love through small actions.

First, he made Jimin’s favorite food. Kimchi fried rice with extra eggs, spicy tteokbokki, and a side of crispy seaweed rolls. He carefully plated everything, making sure it looked as good as it smelled.

Then, he set up the living room with soft lighting, putting on Jimin’s favorite playlist in the background.

But the biggest surprise? A song.

He had spent the entire night before writing it, pouring all his emotions into the lyrics. It was about Jimin—his smile, his laugh, the way he made Yoongi’s world brighter. It wasn’t just a song. It was a confession.

Yoongi smirked, keeping the song a secret for now.

Just as he finished, Jimin walked out of the bedroom, dressed in one of Yoongi’s oversized sweaters. His damp hair fell messily over his forehead, and his eyes held a hint of curiosity as he took in the scene.

“What’s all this?” Jimin asked, eyes flickering to the beautifully set dining table.

Yoongi grinned. “A day dedicated to you.”

Jimin’s lips parted slightly in surprise. “Yoongi…”

Before he could say more, Yoongi walked over, holding out a spoon with a bite of the fried rice. “Eat.”

Jimin giggled but obediently took a bite. The moment the flavors hit his tongue, his eyes widened.

“Oh my god, this is amazing!”

Yoongi smirked, crossing his arms. “Of course. You forgot I’m a great cook?”

Jimin hummed in delight, taking another bite. For the first time in days, he felt warmth in his chest—not sadness, not loss, but love.

Yoongi spent the entire day spoiling him.

He complimented him constantly—on his hair, his laugh, the way he looked adorable in his sweater. He even took Jimin’s hand and danced with him randomly in the living room, twirling him around until Jimin was breathless with laughter.

“You’re ridiculous,” Jimin giggled as Yoongi dipped him dramatically.

Yoongi smirked. “But you love it.”

Jimin didn’t deny it.

In That evening, Yoongi had one more surprise for Jimin.

He invited Taehyung and Jungkook over for dinner.

When Jimin saw Taehyung walk through the door, his eyes immediately filled with tears. “Tae!”

Taehyung grinned, opening his arms wide. “Come here, you idiot.”

Jimin launched himself into Taehyung’s embrace, holding onto him tightly. The comfort of his best friend was exactly what he needed.

“I missed you,” Jimin whispered.

Taehyung ruffled his hair. “I was about to break into Yoongi’s house if he hadn’t invited us.”

Jungkook laughed from behind. “Yeah, we were planning an emergency rescue mission.”

Jimin chuckled, feeling lighter.

While Jimin and Taehyung sat on the couch, chatting excitedly, Jungkook joined Yoongi in the kitchen.

Jungkook smirked, watching Yoongi carefully arrange the plates. “So… you’re finally gonna propose?”

Yoongi stilled for a second before glancing at Jungkook. “How do you know?”

Jungkook snorted. “Hyung, it's written on your face clearly. You’re glowing like a man in love.”

Yoongi scoffed, shaking his head. “Whatever...”

But he couldn’t stop the small smile forming on his lips.

Yes. Tonight, he would do it.

He would tell Jimin that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with him.

---

After that, The Dinner was filled with laughter and warmth.

Jimin felt at ease as he sat between his best friend and his love. He watched Yoongi laugh at something Jungkook said, the corners of his eyes crinkling. He saw Taehyung teasing Jungkook, their playful banter filling the room.

For the first time in days, Jimin felt at home.

And he realized something—

He didn’t need his parents’ approval anymore.

Because he already had a family.

A family that loved him for who he was.

Jimin smiled softly, his heart full...

Little did he know—Yoongi was planning something and about to make this night even more unforgettable.
