Episode: 40 The Unbreakable Bond

Jimin stood tall, his heart pounding in his chest as he stepped in front of his father. The weight of years of expectations, disappointments, and unspoken words sat heavy on his shoulders, but he was done hiding. He was done pretending.

He took a deep breath, meeting his father’s piercing gaze with unwavering determination.

“Yes,” Jimin said, his voice steady. “I am gay.”

A sharp intake of breath echoed in the room. His mother clutched her chest, eyes wide in disbelief, while his father’s expression darkened, his hands balling into fists.

“And I can’t marry the girl you’ve chosen for me.”

The words hung in the air like a blade, slicing through the last shred of hope his parents had held onto.

Before Jimin could react, his father’s palm collided with his cheek with a resounding slap. The force sent his head to the side, a sharp sting blooming across his skin.

Yoongi gasped, his entire body tensing as rage boiled in his veins. He stepped forward instinctively, ready to intervene, but Jimin raised a hand, stopping him.

Jimin slowly turned his face back toward his father, a bitter smile playing on his lips. His eyes glistened, not with regret, but with acceptance. He let out a shaky breath, chuckling humorlessly.

“You just made my choice easier, Dad,” he whispered. “Thank you.”

His father’s face twisted in rage and disbelief. “Jimin, you’re throwing your life away for a sin! For something unnatural!”

Jimin shook his head, tears threatening to spill. He turned to his mother, searching for something—anything—in her eyes. Understanding, love, a shred of maternal warmth. But all he saw was pain and disappointment.

He swallowed the lump in his throat. “Mom?” His voice cracked.

She averted her gaze, turning away as if she couldn’t bear to look at him.

Jimin’s heart shattered.

And then, his father’s voice thundered through the house.

“Get out.”

The finality of those two words sent a chill down Jimin’s spine.

His mother didn’t object. His father didn’t hesitate.

Jimin took a step back, his breath shaky. He had known this was a possibility, but nothing could have prepared him for the pain of actually hearing it.

But then, warmth enveloped his fingers.

Yoongi.

Jimin turned his head and found Yoongi standing beside him, eyes filled with silent reassurance. Without a second thought, Jimin interlocked their fingers, holding on as if Yoongi was the only thing keeping him afloat.

He took one last look at the house he had grown up in. The walls that had once held his childhood laughter. The place where he had dreamed, loved, and cried.

He exhaled softly and smiled, though his heart ached.

“I already knew,” he whispered. “That’s why I choose my love. Yoongi.”

Yoongi’s breath hitched at Jimin’s words.

Jimin turned back to him, his eyes shining with unwavering certainty. “Now and always in the future.”

His father let out a scoff, then without another word, he stepped forward and slammed the door shut right in their faces.

The sound echoed like a final goodbye.

Jimin stood there for a moment, staring at the wooden door, feeling the weight of everything settle over him. He had just lost his family. The people who had raised him, the ones who were supposed to love him unconditionally.

And yet, as painful as it was, he didn’t regret his decision.

Because he had Yoongi.

Yoongi watched Jimin closely, his heart aching at the sight of him standing so still, shoulders trembling ever so slightly. He wished he could take away the pain, shield Jimin from the heartbreak, but he knew that words wouldn’t be enough.

Instead, he turned Jimin toward him gently, lifting a hand to cup his cheek. His thumb brushed over the reddened skin where his father had struck him, and a fresh wave of anger surged through him. But more than that, he felt an overwhelming sadness for the man in front of him.

Jimin gave a small, wobbly smile. “It’s okay,” he said softly. “I have you.”

Yoongi’s breath hitched.

But before Jimin could say anything else, before he could even let another tear fall, Yoongi moved without thinking.

He closed the distance between them, capturing Jimin’s lips in a deep, desperate kiss.

Jimin gasped softly into the kiss, caught off guard for a split second before his hands found their way to Yoongi’s jacket, gripping it tightly.

The kiss was filled with raw emotions—pain, relief, love, and the unspoken promise that they would always have each other.

Yoongi poured every ounce of his feelings into the kiss, his lips moving gently yet passionately against Jimin’s, as if trying to assure him that he wasn’t alone. That he would never be alone.

Jimin melted into him, allowing himself to feel everything.

When they finally pulled away, both of them were breathless, their foreheads touching as they panted softly.

Yoongi’s fingers tangled in Jimin’s hair as he whispered, “I’ll never leave you, Jimin.”

A tear slipped down Jimin’s cheek, but this time, it wasn’t from sadness.

“I love you,” Jimin whispered.

Yoongi smiled softly, brushing his lips against Jimin’s forehead. “I love you too.”

The world had turned its back on them.

But they had each other.

And that was enough.
