Chapter - 11 you wanted me in your lap?

Yoongi, on the other hand, seemed to have shaken off the incident entirely. He continued working as if nothing had happened, his focus unwavering. Jimin admired that about him—his ability to stay composed no matter what. But it also made Jimin feel even more like an outsider, like someone who didn't belong in Yoongi's world.

When the day finally ended, Jimin gathered his things and quietly left the studio, his heart heavy with the weight of his unspoken feelings. He had wanted so badly to get closer to Yoongi, but it seemed that the more he tried, the further away Yoongi became.

As he walked back to his apartment, Jimin couldn’t help but wonder if he was making a mistake by staying in this job. Maybe it would be easier to move on, to forget about Yoongi and focus on his own life. But even as the thought crossed his mind, Jimin knew he couldn’t do it. He had already fallen too far, and now there was no going back.

After coming back from the studio Jimin has to work for his another job as a graphic designer work from home but still he is doing so much just to get closer to you give better he get the sad when he know that it isn't working anymore because Yoongi seems not so interested in him at least he didn't see Jimin's excitement and sparkly eyes around him.

Next day,

Jimin looks sad and disappointed he didn't even talk with yoongi , looks so lost in his own thoughts when yoongi noticed him, he is coming towards him but he is not careful enough.

There are so many wires Tangled on the floor because of system and other works but Jimin didn't pay attention on that, yoongi noticed that so he calls Jimin by his name to alert him but Jimin unheard that complete.

Still coming towards him Yoongi sitting on his chair, before he got up Jimin Tangled on wires got dis balance and tripping to floor but before he can fell on the floor. Yoongi hold him by waist.

Yoongi - "Can't you see? It's just yesterday I said you to be more careful but here you are still clumsy and careless."

Saying this Yoongi again pushed him back from him.

Jimin stood there, still flustered from the fall and the way Yoongi had gently but firmly pushed him away. But something inside him urged him not to let this opportunity slip away. Even though Yoongi had been distant, Jimin couldn’t resist the pull he felt toward him. Summoning every ounce of courage, he decided to lighten the mood with a bit of his usual playfulness.

Jimin leaned against the desk, trying to appear casual, though his heart was still racing. “You know, Yoongi-ssi,” he began, his voice soft but with a hint of a tease, “if you wanted me in your lap, you could’ve just asked. Not to spread world wires all over the floor I think this takes too much effort.”

Yoongi, who had returned to his work, paused and looked up, his expression unreadable. He didn’t respond immediately, simply raising an eyebrow as if waiting to see where Jimin was going with this.

“I mean,” Jimin continued, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips, “you’re not the type to be shy, right? Just say the word, and I’d happily oblige.” He winked, hoping to elicit at least a small reaction from the older man.

But Yoongi simply sighed, his eyes drifting back to his work. “Jimin,” he said in a tone that was both firm and indifferent, “you really should be focusing on your job, not… whatever it is you’re trying to do.”

Jimin pouted, slightly disheartened by Yoongi’s lack of response but determined not to give up. “I *am* focusing on my job,” he insisted, stepping closer to Yoongi’s chair. “But can’t I get to know my boss a little better? I mean, I’m going to be spending a lot of time with you. It wouldn’t hurt to learn more about the man behind the music, right?”

Yoongi’s fingers paused over the keyboard, but he didn’t look up. “And what exactly do you want to know?” he asked, his voice flat.

Jimin hesitated for a moment, then decided to go for it. “Well… for starters, why do you always seem so sad? You’re a successful artist, loved by so many people. But every time I see you, it’s like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders.”

Yoongi’s reaction was immediate. His expression hardened, and he finally turned his full attention to Jimin, his eyes sharp and guarded. “Why are you so interested in that?” he asked, his tone suddenly cold. “Why are you interested in me at all?”

Jimin’s breath caught in his throat, but he didn’t back down. He had come this far, and he wasn’t about to retreat now. “Because,” he said, his voice quiet but sincere, “I’ve been interested in you from the start. The moment I saw you, something just… clicked. I know it sounds crazy, but I can’t help how I feel.”

Yoongi’s eyes narrowed slightly, studying Jimin with a mixture of suspicion and something else—something Jimin couldn’t quite place. “You’re not serious about this? Are you? No you can't be you are just joking around I know ” Yoongi asked, his voice softer now, almost as if he couldn’t believe what he was hearing.

Jimin nodded, his heart pounding in his chest. “I am serious about this that's why I...,” he said, his gaze never leaving Yoongi’s.

Yoongi cut him off in between, "No you can't be serious at all and this is not a joke so just go do your work."

Jimin - “please listen to me, I know you don’t know me well, and I know you’re probably used to people throwing themselves at you because of who you are. But this… it’s different. I’m not just some fanboy who’s obsessed with the idea of you. I’m genuinely interested in *you*, the person. And I want to know more about you—everything, if you’ll let me.”

For a long moment, neither of them spoke. The room was filled with a heavy silence, the tension between them almost palpable. Yoongi’s expression remained unreadable, and Jimin could only hope that he hadn’t pushed too far, that he hadn’t ruined whatever small chance he might have had.

Finally, Yoongi sighed and leaned back in his chair, his gaze softening just a fraction. “You don’t even know what you’re asking for,” he muttered, almost to himself. “You think you want to know me, but you don’t know what that really means.”

Jimin stepped closer, his voice firm but gentle. “Then let me find out,” he said, his eyes searching Yoongi’s for any sign that he wasn’t completely shutting him out. “I’m not asking for everything at once. Just… give me a chance.”

Yoongi looked at him for a long time, his expression unreadable. Then, without a word, he turned back to his work, his fingers resuming their dance over the keys. “We’ll see,” was all he said, his voice low and distant.

Jimin knew it wasn’t a yes, but it wasn’t a no either. It was something, and for now, that was enough. He smiled softly to himself, feeling a small glimmer of hope.

“Thank you,” Jimin said quietly, backing away to give Yoongi some space. “I’ll… I’ll do my best. I promise.”

Yoongi didn’t respond, his focus already back on his work. But Jimin didn’t mind. He had planted a seed, and now he just had to wait and see if it would grow.
