Diana had understood by now that no matter what deed you do, if someone considers it to be wrong, then you have no choice but to pay the price for it.

"Please, I beg you," she fell to her knees, joined her hands and pleased. "Let my daughter go. Let her family free. Punish me however you want, I won't say a word. Please, just spare my daughter. Spare my daughter for God's sake!"

To Diana's huge disappointment, the leader only laughed, and so did his minions, as they cracked and doubled over, enjoying the poor predicament of the old woman.

"You, assholes!" Ronin snapped, hating everything happening in front of him, wanting nothing more than to kill all those bastards. "Do you have any conscious or not? How could you enjoy this? Are you even humans?"

"No. We are not. Satisfied now?" The leader asked, bored, rolling his eyes. But then those same eyes glinted and something wild passed his dangerous face. "We are monsters. We are trained to bring our enemies to their knees, no matter what we have to do."

Diana continued to cry, looking pathetic and absolutely helpless, kneeling on the floor.

"It's okay, Ronin. Let them laugh," she gasped, her voice trembling with the sob that she was trying very hard to hold on to. "It's only a small price to pay for my mistake. I can endure it for a little while. The only thing I ask for is for my daughter to be free, and Ryan needs to be safe. I can tolerate this for their sake. For them, I will endure everything there is to endure."

But Ronin was not going to keep quiet anymore. His blood boiled like he had a volcano running in his veins. How could they humiliate a woman like this? How could someone have the audacity to walk into his home, hurt his wife and kid and threaten the safety of his mother-in-law? It was a nightmare he never knew existed until now. He would have never thought that his home, his own house, would turn into his personal hell in just a blink of an eye.

If there was something he could do to take back control of the situation, then he would do it without a second thought. He would not think twice before jumping into action. He would do whatever he could to save his family.

Alas, these men were not going to listen to him, or Diana. They were not here to listen to the pleas and cries of their prisoners. They were only here to do their job--to torture Diana Price for the wrongdoing she committed a decade ago.

He hated this. He hated this so much.

"Alright then," the leader ignored the conversation between the duo and focused on Carmen instead. He looked evil, like he had something terrible in his mind, and he loved to have it executed properly. "How about we take off her clothes and hang her naked instead? That would make quite an impact."

Diana couldn't take it anymore and exploded. "YOU DAMN MONSTER! DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HER. I AM GOING TO KILL YOU, I SWEAR!"

"You think?" The leader was obviously loving all this chaos in his hands, the power he had on Diana and her family. He had full control over their life and it felt too damn good to be true. Perhaps that's why he stepped forward and slapped the woman hard.

Diana fell on her ass, blood oozing out of her busted lip, tears streaming down her cheeks in steady stream. But that was not all. He kicked her in the stomach and she coughed up blood in response.

"MOMMY!" Ryan screamed and continued to thrash in the hold of the man holding him captive.

"LET HER GO, YOU FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT! LET HER GO AND I'LL TEAR YOU TO PIECES." Ronin roared with anger, ready to pounce on the fucker who laid his hands on his mother-in-law but he was stopped by his wife's angry scream.

"LET ME GO, YOU ASSHOLES. LET MY MOTHER GO! HOW COULD YOU HURT AN OLD WOMAN LIKE THIS? DON'T YOU HAVE ANY SHAME?" Carmen was crying and yelling at the same time, her heart breaking to see her mother like this, bleeding and coughing. She could feel nothing but anger and rage. She had never felt so angry before in her entire life. She was the kind of person who got sad very easily, but never angry. But today was the first time she was feeling the green monster burning her from inside out, making her shake with rage and vengeance.

"Pull up her shirt," the leader ordered his minions and Diana couldn't breathe.

"No!" Diana gasped when she understood what he was planning to do, and tried to crawl away. But her legs failed her and she tripped. The men were on her in the next second, one of them grabbing her by the neck and pinning her to the ground.

Diana felt someone grab her shirt and she screamed in horror, praying to God to end her misery as soon as possible.

"STOP IT RIGHT NOW!"

Diana released a shuddering breath when she heard a new voice fill the space, the command clear in that tone.

Her attackers stopped, frozen to their spot, and she could breathe once again.

Someone had finally come to the rescue.
