Guardian Spirit Part 3

After Ansel finished cooking, he returned to the inn. The smell of the meat he had cooked woke Andrew up. Andrew wanted to eat it immediately. “Ansel is delicious. You are very kind and bring me meat.”

However, Ansel did not allow it. “Don’t eat!!! It’s not for you.”

Andrew was eager to eat it. He tried to snatch it from Ansel. “At least, let me taste it.”

 “No way, it is not for you.” Ansel tried to keep the food away from Andrew.

“How about just one bite?”

“No.”

Andrew protested, “Ansel, why are you so stingy? I never calculated with you.”

It was not only Andrew woke up because of the smell of meat. Rhea also woke up. She came out of Viorenving. She showed her form in front of them.

Rhea’s presence took Andrew surprised. “Hey, What kind of creature is?”

“She’s Rhea, my Guardian Spirit who takes care of Viorenving.” Ansel replied.

Rhea approached them. She rubbed his head into the food box Ansel was carrying.

Ansel understood what Rhea wanted. He opened the food box that contained the lamb. “Eat this… I made it especially for you.” Rhea had to eat it.

He rubbed Rhea’s head gently. He said that he would look for a way to turn her into a human. “Don’t worry, I’ll find a way to turn you into a human. You must look very beautiful when you are a human.”

Andrew warned Ansel not to do it. He whispered, “Ansel, you better not do it. It’s very forbidden and dangerous.”

“That’s not a problem. I have promised to make her wish come true. She really wants to be human.” Ansel said.

“You’re crazy!!!” Andrew suspected that there was a something that maked Ansel hard to do it. “Are you in love with this creature?”

The question left Ansel transfixed. It was completely unthinkable. After Andrew said that, he thought if he really fell in love with Rhea?

However, Ansel admitted that he liked Rhea. He just didn’t think as far as Andrew was thinking.

In his heart, he felt that what Andrew was thinking was true. He felt something different when he was behind Rhea. Rhea also couldn’t escape from his thoughts.

It all depended on Rhea. Did Rhea feel the same way or not? Will Rhea accept it or will she leave?

“It is not important.” Ansel said to Andrew. For now only one thing Ansel wanted, was near Rhea.

If his feelings made Rhea stay away, it was better if he held it down. It was enough if only him who liked Rhea. Moreover, he felt that Rhea was keeping a  distance. She preferred to be in viorenving rather than accompanied him all day.

He knew it was impossible to get rid of that feeling. So he would never force Rhea to like him.

Besides that, there was one very important thing he must did. He had to keep what he said. Even he was doubtfully, at least he should try to do an excorsist in the Aokigahara forest.

While he was looking at Rhea, he suddenly got a new vision. This time, the vision turned to continue to haunt him and become his burden.

Ansel was in his room. he saw Rhea coming out of Viorenving. When he opened the bedroom window, a white light was very bright and dazzling.

The light brought him down the floor of his house.

Ansel saw that his house seemed very quiet and quiet. The first thing he thought about the house was Grandpa. “Grandpa… Grandpa….Where are you? Are you home?”

 He didn’t see Grandpa at all. Then, he explored every corner of his house. However, he did not find Grandpa. So, he headed for the backyard.

In the backyard, there was a large tub. He approached. “What do you think that it will happen? Why is there such a big tub here?”

Ansel touched the water inside, “Oughh… the water is so cold.” He rubbed his palms so he wouldn’t get cold anymore. At that moment, he realized that something very bad would happen. It was just he couldn’t guess what it is.

Then he remembered about one of his visions, when he killed Heka by himself. “Does this have anything to do with killing Heka?”

Suddenly there was the sound of something falling. The voice came from the kitchen. He rushed to find out where the voice came from.

“Empty…” The voice sounded very loud from the kitchen, but nothing happened. There was not a single thing felt down. There was Rhea who stood up.

“Rhea…”

Then Rhea walked towards the outside door. He followed her.

Behind the door, there was a white light that was dazzling. Rhea went into it, so did Ansel. The door took them into the forest. In front of him, there was Viorenving stuck on the ground.

Rhea was behind. Her wings headed towards Viorenving. It was clear that she wanted Ansel hold Viorenving.

When he approached the sword, he felt doubt and fear. Because he knew when he was holding Viorenving, it meant he would definitely kill Heka. He didn’t want to do it.

So, he begged Rhea. “Rhea, sorry I can’t do this. I don’t want to kill anyone. Help me and stop me, please.”

Ansel prostrated in front of Viorenving and Rhea. Rhea was angry because Ansel didn’t want to hold Viorenving. She attacked Ansel by biting her hand.

Her bite seemed so real. It can wake Ansel. Finally, he woke up and freed from his vision.

“Oughh…” Ansel moaned. It was so painful. He saw Andrew and Rhea looking at him.

“Ansel, what’s wrong with you?” Andrew asked.

“Nothing.” Then for a moment, he asked Andrew’s opinion about how the feeling of killing someone. “Andrew, what will you do if you had to kill someone.”

For Andrew, his question seemed strange. “Why do you ask like that? It’s so terrible.”

“It’s true that it’s terrible.” Ansel didn’t even dare to imagine one day he had to kill someone with his own hands. “Then, what do you think?”

“If I had to kill someone, I would definitely kill myself in front of the person I killed. After all, end someone’s life cannot be forgiven. I think life must be paid with life.”

His words made Ansel think about what he should do one day after he killed Heka. He became thinking that maybe he should also die along with Heka after killing him.

“You are right. It’s so unfair.”

Ansel was really scared. One of the reasons he went to Japan so that his mind could be distracted. But what he got was different. He became even more scared when the most terrible day would happen.
