Heka opened his eyes

Heka opened his eyes. He was still in the tub. He didn’t realize that he had fallen asleep. His body was already warm. That meant he was no longer frozen. He turned off the tap and immediately got up.

After he got out of the bathroom, his house became flooded. He checked the entire room. “Everywhere is full of water.”

He heard a knock on the door. “Someone must be protesting.” He walked forward and opened the door. As expected, they were his neighbors. They were a married couple.

“Heka, are you okay? What happened? Why is your house full of water?”

Heka explained, “I just forgot to turn off the tap. I’m sorry.”

“Are you okay? We know it must be very hard for you. If you need some help, don’t hesitate to tell us.”

“Okay, thank you very much. I’ll clean the house first,” Heka said, and immediately closed the door. He didn’t need any attention or compassion for anyone.

In his sight, everyone’s words were the same. They just said sweet words. Someday, they pulled back their words when reminded.

That was why, all this time, he preferred to be a quiet and closed person. he didn’t want to open up to the world.

After he cleaned his house. He opened the window. He looked up at the sky full of stars. “Can I hope to live a quiet life? When no one leaves me alone. No one betrays me. No one hurts me.”

He didn’t know how he lived next day. He felt devastated that there was no reason for him to live. His life was empty, all he had was gone.

He seemed that he was a burden to others, Clancy and Ansel. He realized that everyone around him was always there for him. They helped him when he was down. The irony was he closed himself and refused to see what happened to the person who was often in there for him.

He closed the window. Tears welled up in his eyes as he remembered what had happened to his parents. It was the nightmare of his life. “Mom, Dad, I should be the one who has experienced the accident, not you. I should be the one who died, and not you. I’m sorry for being useless as a child…”

In his mind, he hoped that there would be a miracle. Heka hoped to turn back time when he could save his parents from death.

If Heka had to pay, he would risk his own soul instead. Not someone else. Moreover, he could be an important person in his life.

“Ansel…”

There was only one word, one name could give him a miracle. But he couldn’t ask Ansel for help. Ansel had helped him so much, he didn’t want to be a burden to Ansel anymore.

“Impossible. He has helped me a lot. I don’t want to burden him anymore. I’d rather stay away from him, from his life. It seems better for us not to meet each other.”

It was his decision and a promise to himself. Whatever happened to him, it was better not to involve Ansel.

He wanted to do something for himself to start a new life. After all, he was still alive even though he had lost everything. However, he didn’t know how to start.

“Maybe I should go back to the starting point. There’s nothing wrong if I start in the place where everything started and ended in destruction. The mansion in the middle of the forest.” His mind returned to the house.

He remembered well that all the odd things happened to him so fast. It started when he came out of the mysterious mansion in the middle of the forest. He decided to return to the house. So, he could find out and fix everything.

He remembered the name of the mysterious house ‘Kiervant Sky’. At first, he did not care about the meaning of the name. This time, he felt that he had to know the meaning of the word ‘Kiervant Sky’.

He immediately opened the laptop and went to Google search. He typed the word ‘Kiervant Sky’. There were no sources related to Kiervant Sky.

“Is what Ansel said true? Is the house really in the Immortal realm? Maybe I should go back to the mansion.” He remembered what Ansel said about the house and what happened to his frozen body.

Heka’s decision has been unanimous, and he would return to Kiervant Sky. Although he had to bear the consequences, which were probably far greater than before. But he had to do it.

In his mind, there was someone called him. He asked him to come to Kiervant Sky.

In his convincing, he said to himself not to sacrifice others. If he had to pay, he would offer himself.

Heka arrived in front of Kiervant Sky. Nothing has changed in the house, except a mailbox.

When he first entered the house, there was no mailbox. The mailbox had written words. “Write your wish here, and you will enter into the world that you want, Marchio.”

He was not the kind of person who easily believed in myths. So he just ignored those words. “It’s better to go inside.”

When he entered the Kiervant Sky, He stood at the door. He saw that there were many changes in the house.

The house no longer looked empty and uninhabited. It was full of floating candles.

Even if something changed in the house, he cannot dispel all the fear. He was afraid. If he left Kiervant Sky, a tragic thing would be repeated twice.

He ventured to take a step. Then he heard a sound. It resembled the sound of a fire extinguisher. All the candles were lit. The color of the fire was  different. It was blue flame. “What is this place?”

He approached the candle with the blue flame. His body felt warm. He didn’t feel cold. He smiled because he felt that he had fallen in love with Kiervant Sky.

He stepped into the room left. The space filled with a giant cocoon.

“Where is the cocoon?” Unfortunately, the cocoon had disappeared. It made him stuck in and clueless about all the odds things that had been happening.

Even the cocoon has strong roots and was stuck above the ground. This time, it was gone.

He left the room and immediately went upstairs. Because he was traumatized and afraid that the cocoon would appear again on a sudden. He was trying to avoid nightmares.

Upstairs, it was not as empty as downstairs. There was a long sofa. There was a small table beside it. Also, there was a candle, a teapot, and a cup.

He approached the sofa. “It seems like there is someone in this house. But why does he live in a remote place like this?” In his mind, he was full of questions about whom the owner of the Kiervant Sky was.

He felt he had forgotten something. He forgot that Kiervant Sky was not in the human realm, but in the Immortal realm. “Maybe all creatures who live in the Immortal realm live like this?” He became interested in the Immortal realm.

His gaze was fixed on a teapot that had a medieval design. The shape was classic and antique. The teapot was gold. There was a dragon engraving around it.

He took the teapot. It was heavy. He seemed to hear the sound of water in it. He opened the teapot. Inside was filled with water. It was red water and smelled like wine.

“Augh…” he shouted. Something bit his finger. His finger was bleeding. He bit his finger so that the blood no longer came out. His eyes stared at the dragon carving that seemed moving.
