Tree Of Life : Lake Of Fire

Lake of Fire was a lava lake. It was one of the borders between the Spirit Realm and the Underground Realm. The radiation from the lake was very hot. If the Immortals felt into, it would not disappear. Instead, they entered underground realm and could not to get out. Snared in there forever.

The only way to get through the Lake of Fire was to walk around it.  Although it took longer, it was the best way.

However, it was not easy. Because the lake of fire was full of deadly illusions. Lest get stuck in, he walked with his closed eyes and ears.

Waylinn destroyed his own ears. If he just closed his ears, he can still hear. Then, he closed his eyes and started walking on the edge of the Lake of Fire.

He walked slowly. He used the tail as a guide. His tail touched the edge of the lake. Then, he lifted his feet closer to the tail.

Although he has destroyed its own ears. But it won’t last long. Because it would grow back.

“Waylinn, hurry back, help me. Tarancha is here, he wants to destroy my body.”

“Reiner!!!” Waylinn gasped at Reiner’s voice. His ears were back. He opened his eyes. In front of him, there was a piece of Reiner’s body that had been shattered.

He assured himself that it was just an illusion, not reality. “Reiner is fine. After all, Marchio’s sword can not destroy the ice, the Tarancha’s spear, too.”

He shattered his ears again. Then, he closed his eyes and the heart. He continued the journey.

 He heard the sound of boiling lava. It meant his ears have returned. If he wanted to destroy his ears again, he hhas to wait until it returned to normal.

He had to keep his consciousness and tried not to get caught up into the Illusion in second time.

Waylinn saw a white light. He opened his eyes. The small stone that was left by Zephyxia was shining. “Is this an illusion or not?”

He had doubts about it. It felt real. Now, he found out that it was difficult to distinguish between illusion or reality.

Waylinn took the stone. Small rock emitted light. Then, a voice came out of the rock. The sound frequency was very small, so Waylinn didn’t hear clearly.

He brought the stone to his ear. Then there was Zephyxia’s voice. “Waylinn, you have killed me. I will repay you.”

Zephyxia couldn’t possibly say that. It was definitely Illusion. He saved it again.

Something stabbed him in the back. A crystal. He turned around, “Zephyxia.”

“Waylinn I hate you. You have to pay for my death.”

He broke the crystal. Then he sweep it away. “This illusion is too real.” His body was hollow and it was very painful. He ensured the crystal belonged to the noble. The hole would definitely close for a long time.

With his injured body, he walked away, left Zephyxia behind. He looked back and saw Zephyxia’s body blurred, and disappeared slowly.

He was wondering what another illusion he would face.

Heka suddenly appeared in front of him. “Heka.”

Heka tried to drop Waylinn to the Lake of Fire. Heka was very strong, Waylinn struggled to fight him. Of course, Heka who was in front of him, not the real Heka. He also knew. It was illusion. Meanwhile, Heka seemed to have the power of Immortals.

Waylinn’s tail was directed to Heka’s foot. He would lose the balance of Heka. So he would fall.

It did work. Heka’s legs lost balance and almost felt. But the grip on his body was too strong. Heka didn’t want to let him go.

They both fell. Waylinn’s hand held onto the cliff. They hang onto it.

Waylinn tried to release Heka’s grip. His tail wrapped around Heka’s neck very tightly. Then he kept Heka away from his body.

 It worked, Heka’s grip weakened. Then he used his tail to threw Heka into the Lake of Fire. Meanwhile, he went up to the cliff.

On the cliff, there was a another immortal who was waiting for him. The Immortal was himself. This illusion was  the most difficult and last illusion. It was Mirror Illusion.

Waylinn took out his sword, so his illusion. He swung the sword at his Mirror Body. Every movement would be imitated. The only way to beat him was to spend extra power.

He pressed the sword tightly against the Mirror Body. He also pointed his tail. But he saw Mirror Body doing the same. He pulled back his tail. Because in a narrow place, it was easy to fall. He had to keep his balance and the Mirror Body.

He tried hard to press his sword. But it took up quite a lot of energy. He felt his strength diminish.

Now, the Mirror Body turned to press the sword at him. Before he touched his body. He swung the sword and retreated.

He didn’t do anything, just stood there in silence, so the Mirror Body.

Waylinn walked forward. The Mirror Body followed him. He stopped and hit the Mirror Body’s leg with his sword. He quickly covered his legs with the crystals of the noble that was given to him.

As expected. Mirror Body didn’t have that crystal. So he cut his leg. Then, he swung the sword at the Mirror Body. The body divided into two parts. Waylinn threw it into the Lake of Fire.

As long as you went through the Lake of Fire, if you have fought yourself, it meant that the illusion has ended. He didn’t have to worry anymore.

But he heard the sound of ruins. He looked back. Lake of Fire Cliffs collapsed. He ran very fast. Before the place he stepped on collapsed. Sometimes he jumped, so it was going to faster.

Because he ran too fast, it was difficult for his to maintain balance. His leg slipped and almost fell. He quickly controlled his balance and was able to dodge.

Waylinn saw a large tree in front of him. “In a moment, I will arrive at the Tree of Life.” He quickened his pace.

Finally, he was able to get out of the Lake of Fire. He noticed the cliff collapsed completely.

He turned and noticed a large tree in front of him. Under the tree there was a very high ladder. To get to the Tree of Life, he has to go up the stairs with a million ladders.

The most basic part was a lake that surrounded the Tree of Life. The pool was luminous and shallow. Every immortals who passed through the lake would turn into a human for a while. His Immortal form would return when he passed all the existing stairs and got out of the Tree of Life.

In the Tree of Life the fate of the Immortals was at stake. If you managed to pass all the stairs, you would get strength. But if you were not strong, you would become a human and would be expelled from the Immortal realm.

Then, it would be a complete spirit that can only be in the human realm. It never returned to the Immortal realm.

It was also the portal between the real world and the open Immortal world. When he passed the stairs, he felt thirsty and hungry. It was something that cannot be avoided by humans. If he can’t hold it in, he would disappear from the Immortal world.

Hence, it was only a few pariah Immortals like Waylinn who made it to the Tree of Life. Because the place seemed to be only for noble Immortals.
