Eridu

Zephyxia left Rymder Bridge. The destination was Eridu. She did not comply with Waylinn’s last message to continue her journey to the Tree of Life.

Waylinn had done a lot for her. Now it was her turn to do something for Waylinn.

Eridu was a small place that located on the border of Rymder Bridge and Aeron Hill.

In that place, she could revive Waylinn. She would do anything to make it happen.

Eridu was a remote and difficult place to reach, but all Immortals knew its existence. But, the way to find the place was indeed difficult. The trick was to find a small immortal, then he would lead you to Eridu.

Some immortals have succeeded in coming to Eridu. Once again, he returned to that place by walking along the same path. But it didn’t work. Eridu was really a very mysterious place.

Zephyxia has heard some stories so that they can easily find a small immortal who could lead to Eridu. The trick was to make a gift.

She had prepared a Crystal. It belonged to Marchio that Waylinn had given her. Now she was just waiting for the small immortal to come by itself. Therefore, she just walked aimlessly.

Zephyxia stopped when she felt the wind blew. The wind was blowing slowly. The longer it took, the wind blew hard and coldly. “Is this a sign that someone is going to pick me up to Eridu?”

Her body couldn’t move. She stucked in. She heard a very loud scream.

“What happens? What sound is that?” The voice was painful for her. As half of his soul was obliterated by the scream. She felt very weak. Her vision was blurry.

There was a small immortal that landed in front of her. His darkness  was so strong. “Is he really the one who will take me to Eridu?”

What she saw was different from what she heard. The small immortal who came, it was tiny and cute immortal. Not a terrible one who was like the one in front of her.

The small immortal turned and walked. She followed him, although she doubted whether he would take her to Eridu or not.

The small immortal led Zephyxia to a small house. “Eridu.” she felt happy because she finally arrived at Eridu. Slowly, the small immortal who was in front of him, disappeared slowly.

She went straight into the house. The house seemed quiet. There were only two rooms inside.

She entered one of the room. There were many animal flesh from the human realm.

Then, she heard the sound of footsteps. She came out of the room. She saw a human right at the door. He carried other human body as new frame.

Zephyxia didn’t has idea why there was human who had such great ambition to live in the Immortal realm. She saw that human was quite difficult. Because he had to go back and forth to the human realm, just to find a new body.

“Apparently there is a guest.” The human said.

Zephyxia immediately said the purpose of coming to Eridu. “Can you revive him?” She showed the bottle. It contained half of Waylinn’s spirit.

“You have to wait for Xavier.” He went inside and closed the door. He put the human body in the coffin.

“How does it feel to be in the Immortal realm? It doesn’t seem easy for a human.”

“But this is better than in the human realm.”

Zephyxia was curious why a human was so ambitious to live in an immortal realm. “Why do you prefer to stay in the Immortal realm? Isn’t the human realm much better? At least, you can live in peace and not worry about sinister immortals.”

“The human realm is full of hypocrisy. There were so many betraying. I’m lucky that I studied wizard, so I can easily escape and enter the Immortal realm.”

His answer made Zephyxia disappointed. “Is that true? Even though, I want to feel how to live as a human.”

“It’s better to break your intention. The human realm is not as beautiful as you imagine.”

 “What about living in an immortal realm? You are the only human who can survive here.”

“I don’t know, I can live in peace because I met Xavier. If I didn’t meet him, maybe I wouldn’t be able to survive too long.”

Smoke appeared behind the door. The human said, “He back.”

The smoke turned into a white immortal, cheetah-shaped and has wings. As soon as he saw Zephyxia, he quickly were behind her.

He whispered the word, “It seem like you’re in big trouble. He won’t let you go.”

Zephyxia knelt before Xavier, “That is why, help me to revive Waylinn, please.”

“What can you give?” Xavier made an offer.

Zephyxia took out a crystal that was given by Waylinn. “There’s nothing I can give, I can only give this.”

“Go, I can’t help you. After all, your life will not be long. I also don’t want to deal with Marchio. I still want to live.”

“What should I do to make you help me to revive Waylinn?” She knew that it was easy for Xavier to revive Waylinn. Marchio must have arranged everything so he wouldn’t lose his servant just like that.

“Give up all your life. I’m very interested in your wind element.”

Without any doubt, Zephyxia agreed, “Alright.”

Zephyxia gave the bottle to Xavier. Xavier cut both her wings. Then, he took all the element and strength that was possessed by Zephyxia. “Fortunately, your wings are not completely crushed and can still be used.”

It made Zephyxia weaken.

Xavier asked, “Is there something you want to tell him?”

Zephyxia answered in a very low voice. She wasn’t sure that Xavier could hear her or not. Her vision slowly blurred. And then, it was completely dark.

Waylinn gasped up. He looked around. It was surrounding full of snow. He had been at Aeron Hill.

He saw his hand holding something. He opened it. It was a small rock.

“Zephyxia, why did you do that?”

Then Zephyxia’s voice emerged from the rock, “Waylinn, thank you. Sorry, this is all I can do for you one last time. After you felt on the Rymder Bridge, my body crushed. My life is not long. So I managed to revive you.”

For what Zephyxia had done, made Waylinn weaken. For the first time, he felt his soul in pain. It was as if there was a stab from inside his body. It was much more painful than being stabbed with a deadly sword or poison.

For Waylinn, fighting has become a common thing. There were many stab marks on his body. But he didn’t feel any pain at all. His body was immune.

He tried to stand up and walked. He had to continue his journey to the Tree of Life. After that, he could ask Marchio for help to revive Zephyxia.

There were only two more places he needed to go through, it was Frozen Lake and the Lake of Fire.
