The next morning, I woke up significantly more uncomfortable than I had been yesterday. Now, at 40 weeks and 1 day, I was officially overdue. Travis and I had both seen this coming, since it was my first baby, but God, I wanted this to be over.

"Why won't you come out," I murmured, rubbing my hands over my swollen belly. Tears welled in my eyes, and I couldn't control them. Damn hormones. "Aren't you excited to meet us baby girl?"

Travis shuffled beside me, blinking open his eyes as he sat himself up. "Morning baby," He mumbled, still half asleep, "How long have you been up?"

"Like an hour. I had to pee then couldn't get back to sleep." I sighed, leaning my head back against the headboard.

"I'm sorry my love... are you hungry? I'll go make some breakfast." Travis said, already getting out of bed and pulling on a pair of plaid pyjama pants. He came around to my side of the bed, leaned over, and kissed the bangs on my forehead, "A bagel with cream cheese, pickles and honey?"

I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my lips. I'd eaten this for breakfast almost every day for the past few weeks. I thought the whole craving pickles in pregnancy thing was a joke, but I can assure you, it's definitely not. Pickles are amazing. The funny thing is that I hated them before I was pregnant, I used to take them off every burger, but now, I couldn't get enough.

"You're the best. I love you so much." I giggled, and Travis chuckled, shaking his head as he went downstairs.

"Alright baby," I looked down at my belly, "you're coming out today. This is your eviction notice - mommy is too uncomfortable, and desperately wants to meet you. So please, pretty please, with a cherry on top, put me into labour today." I begged, rubbing my belly as if that would help get the word over. I was going to do absolutely everything to get myself into labour today.

I quickly got uncomfortable sitting still, so, with a struggle, I pulled myself up off the bed and went downstairs, finding Travis drizzling honey over my bagel.

"Just in time, here you go, my love." Travis grinned, sliding the plate toward me.

I smiled, thanking him as I delve into my breakfast. "So Trav, I was just talking to the baby, and I told her she has to come out today." I said, taking a bite bigger than my mouth could handle.

"Oh did you?" Travis laughed softly, his eyes crinkling in the corners. "And did she respond? Is our little lady going to listen to her mama?"

I shrugged, chewing through the mouthful, savouring the sweet and sour mix in my mouth. "Well, she hasn't exactly confirmed it yet, but I have a plan." I said, swallowing, then taking another very enthusiastic bite.

Travis raised his eyebrows, leaning back against the kitchen counter as he crossed his arms over his bare chest, "A plan, huh? Should I be concerned?"

I smirked, wiping a bit of cream cheese off the corner of my lip, "Maybe." I pushed the plate away, and leaned back into my chair, rubbing my belly. "I can't handle another day of this. We're trying all the tricks in the book today. All of them."

Travis chuckled, walking around the counter to place his hands against my belly, "Alright, what's first on this grand plan of yours?"

"Well," I started, grabbing his hands to stabilise myself as I stood up. "First, we can go on a walk. More specifically, a curb walk."
