Travis' POV
"Okay pumpkin, go show mommy your pretty hair." I smiled at my almost 3 year old daughter. I'd just managed to successfully do two braids in her hair for the first time ever, and if I'm being honest, I was pretty proud of myself. Her hair was beautiful, light blonde and curly, just like her mom's.
"Okay dada." Eliana grinned, showing her dimples as she ran out of her bedroom and to Taylor.
I followed her into our bedroom, then into the ensuite bathroom, where Taylor was standing in front of the mirror, putting in her earrings. She turned when she noticed our daughter standing in front of her, and knelt down to be on her level.
"Look at your hair El! It's beautiful!" Taylor smiled, stroking her fingers over the two little braids.
"Thank you." I smiled, taking credit for my hard work.
"You did a good job! Better than I was expecting." Taylor laughed as she stood up.
I laughed and kissed her cheek, "You look beautiful baby." I grinned, looking her up and down. She had on a beautiful long blue and white dress, that hugged her body in all the perfect places. You'd never be able to tell she's had two kids.
"Sistah?" Ellie made her serious face and furrowed her eyebrows, looking up at both Taylor and I.
"She's sleeping sweetie, but she'll wake up soon, then we're going to grandma and poppy's house, okay?" Taylor explained to our daughter, whose face lit up.
"Gwandma and poppy!" She squealed and ran out of our bathroom, presumably back to her own room.
"She's a little ball of energy isn't she." I laughed as I stepped behind Taylor, wrapping my arms around her waist.
"I bet her sister will be just the same." Taylor giggled as she turned around to face me.
"Speaking of, she'll probably wake up soon right?"
"Yeah, I'll get her, you get Ellie dressed."
I nodded and kissed Taylor's cheek, then we went out separate ways. I found Ellie in her room playing with her favourite toy, a mini piano. Her piano playing ability was pretty non-existent, but she loved just hitting all the keys.
"You look just like your mom kiddo." I smiled, shaking my head in disbelief at the similarity between the two. "C'mon let's get you dressed." I kneeled down next to my daughter and rubbed my hand gently over her back.
"Sistah?" She stared up at me with her big green eyes, one of the main features she got from me.
"We can go see your sister after you're dressed, okay?" I said, then grabbed her tiny hand in mine and walked with her to her closet.
I changed her into a light yellow shirt and a pair of white denim overalls, then smiled proudly at how put together she looked.
"Mommy was totally wrong, I'm great at dressing you!" I said to her, kneeling down to be on her level.
"No dada." Ellie shook her head, frowning.
"What? Do you like it better when mommy dresses you?"
My daughter nodded, frowning as she balled her fists. She always did that when she was on the verge of a tantrum, and while she was generally a pretty good kid, the terrible two's are a very real thing.
She fell to the floor, then burst into tears.
"Mommy!" She cried out, and would not stop, no matter how many times I asked.
"Pumpkin she's getting your sister. Take a deep breath. Do you want to wear something else?" I asked calmly. It was hard not to get frustrated very quickly with a toddler, but Taylor and I had both decided we didn't want to yell at our children, unless it was absolutely necessary.
